While it’s not quite the level of logistics one may see at the North Pole this time of year (🎅🏻), this year we’ve made huge improvements to our logistics systems at APO.     📈 👀 In technical terms, our logistics team is working through the live commissioning of our new logistic system which allows us to optimise the planning of the terminals operational assets, stockyard and how the terminal interfaces with our supply chain stakeholder from the pits to the ships. The Horizon planning tool is the brains of the system with PortVu being the link to the outside world, gathering information to plan and execute the movement of coal from the mines load outs onto the ships. It's a logistics nerd’s dream come true🤓 but it also means better outcomes for our customers.
