July marks the end of the term (slightly prolonged) of German Federal DPA – Ulrich Kelber. I am happy to find myself amongst “Uli Kelber Ultras” !!! Dear Ulrich, that was an honor and genuine pleasure to work with you in #EDPB, GPA and G7 DPA Roundtable. Contemplate history of Vienna, Tokyo, Bonn and Washington together. Enjoy hockey, baseball and basketball, discuss politics and history, protect privacy, defend encryption and compare the “worlds” we both grew up in on opposite sides of The Iron Curtain, and the European project we both work for. Just 4 and half year that has created the real friendship!

Europeans that in past times will be in conflict are now great friends. This is the miracle story of the European Union.
We will miss Uli Kelber in Germany as an always open to discuss and pragmatic data protection enthusiast! Hopefully he is going to continue in his topics elsewhere… Thank you so much for your hard work in the past 4 years. It was always a pleasure to meet you in person on conferences.
