It provides a critical lifeline for students who are justice-engaged through: 1) clarifying a point of contact at schools, districts or BOCES for school continuation, re-enrollment or referral 2) providing a hotline where students, families, education and justice personnel can call for clarity on a student's legal process and to get resources 3) establishing a system for tracking the educational attainment of the 22,000 students in CO who are justice-engaged 4) clearing up confusion between systems through accessible, on-line training Thank you to the bill sponsors Rep.
