"Your candidate is great but unfortunately our PSL is not up for review".. 😂 😂 The most used "recruiter deterrent" in the UK market at the moment by any HR or TA team not willing / bothered to do the right thing.. This is why recruiters spec hiring managers direct. I sometimes sit and think about this subject, sitting under a cold shower, for 5 hours, rocking back and forth. Do hiring managers know that exceptional talent is being passed up because their internal recruitment processes are being adhered to like they're a UK law that if broken they're gonna get put in jail?? 🤣 I've been in the game long enough to know that a PSL is merely a formality. Yes I know, there are relationships to protect and the process is in place for some sort of structure but why do you have a PSL of recruiters who cannot fill jobs within a 4 week period?? Why are you passing on a candidate that's right in front of you for one of these hard to fill vacancies because "you're not on the PSL" even when we have offered a one off DISCOUNTED placement fee - MAKE YOUR LIFE EASIER😱. We are continuously being added to start up, SME & Blue Chip company PSL's when there wasn't any review due. Clients that are now great partners of White & Clayton Recruitment because they didn't let the black and white get in the way of their recruitment needs. A common thing I hear when I'm in a back and forth with a HR/TA gatekeeper "Would you like it if your client went with another agency" .... If my client were even in the position to be considering this then we'd have already failed them, so yes I'd absolutely understand. PROACTIVE CLIENT > REACTIVE CLIENT - These are the best working relationships that White & Clayton Recruitment & any other passionate headhunter will work with and it also delivers an excellent experience to anyone involved in the process.. especially the candidates! BE THAT STANDOUT PERSON IN HR/TA & MAKE THE DIFFERENCE TO YOUR BUSINESS. Keen to hear feedback on this one as I know I have about 8 contacts within my network that have given me this as a reason so I'm keen to see where you stand should you be a hiring manager, HR/TA or business owner with really no idea of this being a hurdle in finding your business the best talent out there! #whiteandclayton // 📩 jamie@whiteandclayton.com
