Just finished the course “Talent Management” by Katy Santen Sharon! The greatest take away? Successful Talent Management is business strategy, not administrative. Yet, only 18% of business leaders have considered Talent Management as part of their business plan. Not convinced? Employers that utilize talent assessments have: 75% decreased recruiting cost, 24% have a successor, and have a 2.5x greater annual profit. 80% of revenue is generated by 20% of employees. Are you paying 5x the salaries and resources you need to be to maintain 80% of your business? How are you determining which candidate will be a part of that 20% of employees? Fewer than half of employers consider internal employees as part of their talent pipeline. At the same time, lack of opportunity for growth remains in the top 3 reasons employees leave. 8% of employers retain high performers and employers lose 1 in 6 employees in their first 6 months Steps for employers: 1.
