We were honored to welcome Dilawar Syed, Deputy Administrator of the Small Business Administration, to Westminster University this week while he was in town. He engaged in a meaningful dialogue with students, faculty, and senior administrators including Provost Debbie Tahmassebi, President Bethami Dobkin. The event, styled as a fireside discussion, was titled "US Global Competitiveness and Entrepreneurship in the Age of AI," focusing on the pivotal roles of technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship in shaping the future of the U.S. economy. Dilawar Syed expanded the conversation to cover the broader business climate, the strategic importance of the Small Business Administration (SBA), its loan programs, and its overarching goals to bolster American small businesses. Well done, Dilawar Syed.... SMEs the way Entrepreneurial mysticism is the world's most powerful hidden magic; still unsolved, it cannot be replicated or captured into a pill or tonic, as it is mysterious, unexplainable, and always magical. The entire world of commerce and trade has been built on this single-power. Openly challenged is the economic intelligentsia if, besides their financial brilliance and expertise, if they can show anything like this on the real-growth side.
A big deal and an incredible day!
