Andrew Westerkamp took CBD flower and exposed it to pyrolysis conditions and discovered new cannabinoids within the smoke a few years ago. Together, our groups investigated where these pyrocannabinoids bind, how well they bind, what they are metabolized into, and if they are generally safe. Take some time to read our latest preprint "In silico exploration of pyrocannabinoid interactions with key protein targets" if your curiosity wants these questions answered. https://lnkd.in/gi4V_zi4
Love seeing this. Andrew & his team are fantastic.
I am eagerly looking forward to reading this interesting preprint.
Looking forward to future collaborations Westley Cruces! Thanks for the time and effort on this.
Adam Teuscher this might be of interest to you!
Very interesting!!

1moThis is paper is very interesting! I'm interested in seeing more spectral data and some experimental specifics about how the pyrocannbinoids were isolated and/or identified in cannabis smoke. The paper cites a patent for the method, but there is not a reference to the experiments wherein the pyrocannabinoids are characterized. Is that information published anywhere?
