Experienced Healthcare Professional | Business Development | Hospital Operations | Founder and CEO of Ascend Workforce Solutions
Sharing a side of myself that I rarely do—vulnerability. As an experienced healthcare professional and nurse, I often find solace in being the pillar of strength for others. However, we're all human beneath our scrubs and stethoscopes. Recently, I lost my brother to cancer. Instead of being able to grieve in the moment, I felt it was my duty to be strong for my family and his three daughters. It's a reminder that even healthcare providers, accustomed to healing others, face moments of profound loss and heartache. Today, I want to celebrate each one of you—my healthcare colleagues. Your resilience, compassion, and unwavering dedication is nothing short of extraordinary. You navigate the delicate balance of empathy and professionalism, bringing comfort to those in pain. In our roles, we often neglect our own emotional well-being to be the pillars of strength for our patients and families. But let's remember, it's okay to be vulnerable. It's okay to acknowledge our own struggles and seek support when needed. We are not invincible, and that's what makes our humanity our greatest strength. To every nurse, doctor, caregiver, and healthcare professional: Thank you for the tireless work you do every day. Your impact is immeasurable, and your capacity for empathy is a beacon of light in the darkest moments. Here's to our shared humanity, our shared strength, and the collective impact we have on the lives of those we serve. #HealthcareHeroes #HealthcareCommunity

Updates as I launch a virtual clinic: Hello from Hawaii! Goal for this week was: we were running into issues with a lot of components of the practice being out of sync: various calendars, some contractors, ect. So this week goal was to get all these issues buttoned up. Progress: Really happy on what we accomplished this week. Solved the calendar issues, improved coordination with team members, and improved patient intake and billing process. Other: • Finalized hire for therapist for MAT patients. That is now part of our MAT service. FYI: for those offering MAT therapy, look into hiring CASACs. They are MAT specific therapists. • Diacussed next article with our resident dietician. Will be looking at how supplementing with oral creatine influences body composition, and gym performance. #primarycare #telehealth #virtualcare #medicationassistedtreatment

"Do I love my job? Absolutely," says physician assistant Emanuel "Manny" Parrilla G'20. "I can see my rewards every day in the faces of my patients." Manny used to work as an EMT responding to trauma and Level I calls. He decided to become a physician assistant because he wanted to know what happened to the people his EMT team had helped and whether their problems could have been addressed earlier. "Over time, I learned that primary care was important because it is preventative care," he explained. "If more people had access to PCPs, there would be less strain on ERs." Manny encourages others to consider a career in primary care: "Other medical specialties may pay more, but I believe that if you want to make a real and noticeable impact in a person's life, practicing primary care is second to none." Are you a #PA? Tell us why you love your job in the comments. #primarycare #physicianassistant #healthcare #makingadifference #community #rewardingcareer

Purpose in Service - A Decade at the Hospital Bedside 🏥 Introduction: It's been a remarkable 10-year journey. A decade of being by the hospital bedside, caring for those in need. Throughout this time, I've had the privilege to serve in various capacities, from the intensive care unit to my current role in the cardiac step down unit. What have I learned in these years? The answer lies in the profound connection between purpose and service. 🤝 🌟 Finding Purpose in Serving Others: The truth is, each day at the hospital is a unique chapter in a bigger story. It's not just about medical procedures or treatments; it's about the human connection and the impact we can make on lives. As a bedside caregiver, I've witnessed the power of compassion, empathy, and a helping hand. These qualities not only heal the body but also soothe the soul. It's in these moments that I found my purpose - in serving others. 💪 The Fulfillment in Every Act of Service: Every shift at the ICU or the cardiac step down unit is a chance to make a difference. It's a chance to provide comfort in times of uncertainty, offer a listening ear, and share a smile that brings hope. I've come to realize that true fulfillment comes from these acts of service. It's the joy of seeing a patient recover, the gratitude in their eyes, and the knowledge that I've played a part in their journey to health. 🌍 The Meaningful Life Journey: Serving others isn't just a job; it's a life journey. It's about finding meaning in what we do and connecting with the shared humanity that unites us all. So, whether you're a fellow caregiver, a healthcare professional, or simply someone on their own path, I invite you to discover the profound fulfillment that comes from purpose in service. It's a journey worth taking. ✨ Conclusion: As I reflect on these 10 years at the hospital bedside, I'm reminded of the incredible impact we can have when we find our purpose in serving others. It's a reminder that the path to a meaningful life is paved with compassion and selflessness. Let's continue this journey together, sharing our stories and inspiring each other to make a positive difference in the world. 💖 #PurposeInService #HealthcareJourney #MeaningfulLife #Caregiver #HospitalLife

Co-founder of Tech Support AZ | Building software to bridge the knowledge gap between seniors and tech
I had an interesting experience today with one of our clients... Early in the morning, I received a call from her, and she sounded extremely nervous. She explained that her computer had been breached, she can’t access anything, and she doesn’t know what to do. I have to admit, I was a bit taken aback. 💻 According to her, the entire screen was covered with a message warning her not to turn off her computer. "I think I got breached," she told me, sounding very nervous. "It told me not to touch anything, so I left it there. But I don’t know what to do" Her fear was palpable, and I could empathize entirely. 🤯 After dispatching our technicians to her location. Astonishingly, what appeared to be a serious breach turned out to be a deceptive full-screen popup created by malware, that could be easily exited. 🤷♂️ 💡 This incident has left me with a profound perspective on life. Often, what we consider "easy" may be a daunting challenge for someone else, and vice versa. It emphasizes two crucial lessons: 1️⃣ Understanding and Patience: We must be patient and understanding with others, recognizing that not everyone possesses the same level of knowledge or experience. What may seem straightforward to us can be perplexing and terrifying to someone else. 2️⃣ Self-Confidence: It's crucial to have confidence in oneself. We may not always see the value we bring to the world, but others can. In this case, our quick response and expertise made a world of difference for our client. 🤝 This experience underscores the importance of bridging the gap in understanding between individuals. It reminds us that we are all part of a larger team, each contributing our unique strengths and perspectives. Without one another, many of the remarkable accomplishments we witness today would not have been possible. 🌟 Life is, indeed, a team effort. Let's remember to be patient, kind, and confident as we work together to make great things happen. Together, we can overcome challenges, offer support, and achieve remarkable feats that benefit us all. #Teamwork #Understanding #Support #LifeLessons #seniorcareadvocate #seniorcare #seniorliving Huy Huynh Jonah West Zach Davison
