Experience is not just time, but also activities for self-development. What does our specialist think about this? What tools does she use to stay updated on current trends? 🔹Our expert, Kateryna, marketing manager, says: «The field of marketing is developing very dynamically, so constant self-development is essential. I regularly follow updates from Google and their training materials, as well as professional blogs of colleagues on YouTube and Facebook.» 🔹Our expert, Olesya, SMM manager, offers a couple of useful tips: «Follow industry trends on social media, study foreign literature in your field, take online courses, and still, time is also necessary for gaining practical skills and applying the acquired knowledge.» ✔️As we can see, experience is not just the time spent at work, but also the quantity and quality of information consumed, the ability to continuously learn, openness to new information, and the skill to apply it in work.

Unpopular Opinion: You Don't Need a Degree to be Successful in Marketing. ❌ People have often asked me, "to get a job at Marketing Adventures do I need a degree?" My answer is always simple: "No, you just need to be driven & want to succeed." If you are keen to succeed in Marketing, everything else follows, you are then punctual, you have an attention to detail & you want to naturally do the best job you can for your clients. The rest can be learnt: as long as you WANT IT. ✅ Yes, marketing is technical, it takes skill & there's a lot of continuous learning involved to be the BEST at it. But, I don't believe that you NEED a degree. Marketing is such a fast paced, rapidly changing industry, that often skills you learn a year ago, are now not relevant for today. What are your thoughts on this topic, I would love to hear from you... 👇

Joining the marketing industry as a new employee is an exhilarating journey filled with continuous learning and growth opportunities. As someone new to the field, I've found that understanding consumer behavior and market trends is pivotal. Learning to analyze data from various channels such as social media metrics, website analytics, and customer feedback has been eye-opening. Each piece of data provides valuable insights into consumer preferences and helps shape effective marketing strategies. Moreover, grasping the fundamentals of digital marketing tools and platforms like Google Ads, SEO techniques, and email marketing software has been crucial in navigating the fast-paced industry landscape. Collaborating with experienced colleagues has been immensely beneficial, as their guidance has provided practical knowledge and industry insights that textbooks often don't capture. Additionally, adapting to the dynamic nature of marketing requires staying updated with industry trends and innovations. Engaging in continuous learning through workshops, online courses, and industry events has been instrumental in honing my skills and expanding my knowledge base. Overall, while the learning curve can be steep, the marketing industry rewards curiosity, creativity, and adaptability. Embracing these qualities has not only enhanced my professional development but also allowed me to contribute meaningfully to our team's objectives and client outcomes. AD2Click Media

A few days ago, I was asked: how did you learn marketing, specifically advertising? It's a question I had never been asked before. It's not something you learn in uni or college. Even online courses don't give you enough knowledge. And I realized how important is this question, especially when hiring a marketing specialist or any other type of specialist. It can tell a lot about the person. My journey into marketing is quite an interesting one. It began when I was volunteering in Portugal, and I knew that I wanted to work in marketing, despite having very little experience. What I did have was a lot of curiosity and courage, as well as the belief that I could learn anything I put my mind to. I started applying to numerous companies and agencies that were offering junior positions in marketing. At that time, I didn't have a specific niche within marketing in mind; I simply sent out my applications and hoped for responses. A few of these companies responded. Most just ghosted me. I had a couple of interviews. And took on a few assessments. Thanks to assessments, I learned the most while tackling them, pretending that I knew something. These tasks basically accelerated my way to find a job in marketing. In a way, it was learning from failures. By doing them, I could understand things like how to calculate CPCs, the difference between ROI and ROAS, and what the marketing funnel looks like. I got the job and the best mentor I could ask for (shoutout to Monika Kasperavičė 💛) My values and boldness were often more powerful than my professional skills. And I hope that stays this way. I share my story to remind you that you can achieve anything you set your mind to. Sometimes it's about faking it till you make it. It might take time. But you'll get there. What's your story?

Hey everyone! I've been on this amazing journey of learning new skills lately, and I thought, "Why not share the ride, including the bumps and wins, with all of you?" Who knows, it might just inspire someone out there to take the leap into something new, just like I did. Now, you might be curious about the skills I'm diving into. Well, I'm a physiotherapist, but guess what? I'm currently digging deep into the world of digital marketing. I know, it might seem like an odd combo at first glance, and I had my doubts too. But you know what? I got into it out of sheer interest, was I in for a surprise! In today's digital age, understanding the basics of digital marketing is becoming crucial for all kinds of professionals. It's opened my eyes to social media dynamics, advertising strategies, and the latest trends. Believe it or not, my foray into digital marketing actually landed me a job that blends both my physiotherapy skills and digital marketing know-how. What started as a personal interest has now become an extra skill that's not only fulfilling but also pays the bills! But wait, there's more! I've also taken on the challenge of learning a whole new language—German. Yeah, it's not a walk in the park, especially starting from scratch with the A1 level. Learning a new language, even though it's required for my job, isn't always easy. Surprisingly though, I've grown to love it! Exploring the German language and culture has been fascinating. Stepping out of my comfort zone to tackle these new skills has been an incredible experience. I want to encourage all of you to do the same. Trying new things might just open doors you never knew existed. So, go ahead, take on new challenges, and embrace learning—it could lead you to exciting places you never imagined!
