Warning: this quote may inspire you to be an even more effective marketer. "Know the rules well, so you can break them effectively." -Dalai Lama Marketing today is all about two things: 1️⃣ How can you stand out in a competitive market? 2️⃣ What brings you closer to your customer? In the early days of marketing, you didn't have to do much to advertise. Simply getting your name and what you do out there was usually enough. Today that's just not the case. You need to stand out in order to "fit in" with your customer. You need to *think out of the box* to solve everyday marketing problems. That's what I love about this job, though. Challenging myself to learn the rules to break them keeps me striving to be on my toes creatively, always.

When it comes to marketing, there are no unicorns or silver bullets. You’re only going to move forward when you get your strategy right. If you take a look at any of the frameworks the talking heads push, every one of them says the same exact thing - orient yourself to the market, find your ideal buyers, and obsess over them. · What’s a better way for your ideal buyers to work? · Why is that urgent today? · How, when, and where are you conveying this to them? It takes time to answer these questions and even more time to execute on them. But it works. #marketingstrategy

So, how do we pivot from merely spending to strategically investing in marketing? I say it plenty but here it is again. Understanding your customers. Peter Drucker once dropped this truth bomb: "Business has only two functions – marketing and innovation." Simplified, it's like having your business on a duo mission. Marketing does its thing, understanding what customers dig, creating a bit of buzz, you know the drill. Meanwhile, Innovation is that steady hand, keeping things fresh, adapting to the times, and staying ahead in the game. It's not just about ads, it's about keeping it real and relevant. For Drucker, in a world full of business noise, ace marketing and innovation, and you've got the golden ticket to success. Simple as that. Time and time again, marketing is proven to be crucial for one’s business success. So get your best marketing services at bestmarketinggigs.com today. Credits: Tony Robbins on Twitter/X

𝐓𝐡𝐞 '𝐆𝐎𝐋𝐃𝐄𝐍 𝐑𝐔𝐋𝐄' 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐊𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤. Your customers are not just numbers on a spreadsheet. They're real people with real problems, desires, and dreams. The "Golden Rule" of marketing is simple: 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺. Most businesses fall into the trap of self-centered marketing. They talk about themselves, their features, their awards... But customers crave relevance. They want to know how YOU can solve THEIR problems. Ignoring this simple truth is a costly mistake. It leads to disengaged audiences, wasted budgets, and missed opportunities. Customer-centric marketing is the key to sustainable growth. It's about understanding your ideal customer inside and out: ✅Their pain points ✅Their desires ✅Their language When you speak directly to their needs, you create connections that lead to loyalty and sales. P.S. What's the ONE thing you wish your marketing did better?

Customer Researcher for B2B SaaS. I reveal the hidden reasons your customers buy so you can focus sales & marketing on what actually drives growth. Former Psychotherapist. Cornell & Brown Alum.
Stop pursuing big wins. Start avoiding big errors. This is investing advice from Charlie Munger but it applies to marketing too. There is no way you can predict which marketing or messaging angle will kick sales up and to the right. But there are (expensive) ways to guarantee growth is slow and meandering (or non-existent). The most common is to make marketing decisions without research. If there is no objective and unbiased understanding of the customer guiding decisions then you’re spending lots of money on a guess… and losing lots of time trying to guess right. Smart marketing and fast growth starts with customer research. If you want to grow faster and stretch your dollars you need to be deliberate and strategic in your marketing. You need to know your target market: -The core problems buyers want to solve. -The events that kickstart the buyer journey. -What motivates buyers to choose your solution. -What drives buyers to make a purchase.
