i ran competitive track all through college 🏃♂️. one thing we did during the season was "overtrain". part of training would be focused on running near race pace for 110-115% of your race distance. the idea is pretty simple. if 110% of your race distance starts to feel normal...come race day, your regular distance should feel easier 💪. << fwiw this is a huge oversimplification of one part of a larger, more complicated approach to training >> the idea can transfer to sales. how can we make sales conversations feel easier when we're in them❓ - "overtrain" for the hypothetical objections that could come up - "overtrain" for having a mitigation plan for risks that could come up - "overtrain" for the tough business case convo you have coming up - "overtrain" for the random stakeholder who might join a call TL;DR - be MORE prepared than you think you need to be. it'll make the conversation (i.e. the race) feel easier.
