Just a brief item out today pertaining to artificial intelligence (AI), and yes, I actually wrote it.

Often, accounts of the challenges of authenticating #AI have a pessimistic tone. But, often, opportunity exists in the challenges. Leaders in AI from OpenAI, Meta, Amazon, and Google (among others) have been working on creating identification that clearly demarcates human work from that created by AI. Recent tests have been proven to be vulnerable—AI has determined how to work around, emulate, and replicate the marks. But where some researchers and writers see despair, there is ample reason for hope. We are in an iterative stage of a new technology. Our old ways of thinking may not be the solution for the existing moment—which is often the place where the most profound innovation occurs. #watermarks #innovation WIRED
