Wecom Fiber attended the Inaugural Digital Equity Summit in Yavapai County, Arizona today. This event marks the beginning of crucial discussions on bridging the digital divide. With $993 million allocated for broadband infrastructure and $16 million dedicated to digital equity funds through the Broadband Equity Access and Deployment Program, Arizona is making significant strides towards a more connected future. We had the opportunity to hear from Dr. Erin Carr-Jordan, Ph.D. of the Digital Equity Institute, Erin Lorandos, BA, MLIS of the Arizona State Broadband Office, as well as Nicole Umayam of NTIA, who discussed the importance of ensuring all communities have access to affordable, reliable high-speed internet. Wecom Fiber is committed to contributing to these efforts and helping shape the digital future of Yavapai County. #DigitalEquitySummit #WecomFiber #BroadbandForAll #DigitalDivide #Arizona #YavapaiCounty #Inclusion #broadbandinitiative #YavapaiCollege
