Thanks London One Radio and Rosita Dagh for the beautiful afternoon spent with our Founder and CEO Olga Venosa to talk about our new children’s book “Riding kindness” written by Olga for We Are Stronger Charity and part of “the kindness” series. A book that talks about bullying and disability and includes a very important message: the importance of respect, the uniqueness of diversity and how much it enriches our lives and how much inclusion is a really pivotal strength. Here the links to purchase the English version of the book https://lnkd.in/exew3Yme and Italian version https://lnkd.in/e-KfUXMt. The Spanish version will come out during the summer. . . #childrensbooks #kindness #stopbullying #disability #diversity #inclusion #respect #empathy

It’s 2024, and it’s disheartening to see that major sites are still not accessible to people with disabilities. This is not just about compliance, it’s about inclusivity and equality. When writing content, it’s crucial to ensure it’s accessible to everyone. Here are a few tips that have really helped me: Keep the language simple: Use clear and simple language. This makes your content accessible to people with cognitive impairments and learning disabilities. Structure: Give the document a meaningful title. Keep sentences and paragraphs short. Aim for around 25 words or less per sentence. Formatting: Use a sans serif font like Arial or Helvetica. Use a minimum size of 12 points. Make sure the text is left aligned, not justified. Avoid underlining, except for links. For more information on this topic, I recommend visiting the Scope UK website, a disability equality charity in England and Wales that provides practical information and emotional support. Let’s all do our part to make the web a more inclusive space. #Accessibility #Inclusivity #WebAccessibility #DisabilityRights

It was such a pleasure to facilitate a preparatory session for my favourite Disability Justice facilitators last week! Looking forward to leading workshop facilitation with brilliant disabled folx for local nonprofit organizations this summer! ✨️ [Image Description: On the left half of the slide, an orange square with the words, "Invitation to Write" in white text is seen. There are blue, green, yellow, and orange shapes of various sizes floating around the left, top, and bottom of that square. The words, "You could write about how you feel after your first workshop facilitation win! You could write about any fears or doubts you may have about facilitating, as well as what could help. You could write about a past situation in which you were nervous, but still did well!" in black text are seen on a white background on the right half of the slide, listed as bullet points.] #KrystalKavitaJagoo #IntersectionalEquityInsights #SustainableBIPOCResistance

Have you heard about Surviving Economic Abuse (SEA)? The SEA is the only UK charity dedicated to raising awareness of and transforming responses to economic abuse. It's a serious problem and can be hard to spot. I urge my financial planning community to look out for the signs, no matter how subtle they may be, and offer your hand of friendship if you can. There is some good help out there, first port of call being https://lnkd.in/e45pZGky.
