Building a state of the art dermatology practice
Part 1 - Putting the patient at the center
What does it take to build a successful dermatology practice? One that is not about just going through the motions, but one that really focuses on patient outcomes and experiences and also one that doesn’t become a burden on the owners, providers and employees themselves.
We are striving to build just that.
First and foremost, (and obvious) focusing on the patient means putting them at the center of the circle. What does the patient really want and how do you deliver it?
It comes down to 3 things:
1) Confidence in outcomes
2) Exceptional experience
3) Value for money
Let's start with #1 - Confidence in outcomes
Patients want to make sure they get the outcomes they are looking for. This means engendering trust in the providers and building credibility of the practice. This is achieved by ensuring the provider's training and credentials are up to par, up-to-date and also clearly communicated to potential patients.
Furthermore, patient testimonials and convincing before-and-afters should also indicate provider and practice capabilities. As outcomes are delivered and apparent, word of mouth within friends and family also serve to bolster confidence in outcomes.
