Thanks for sharing Hayley Moore ⚡️ I'm a firm believer in not referring to the workforce as a family. During a webinar with Lucy Adams she explained that sometimes in our families, we let things go or overlook certain behaviours. I like to add to this that sometimes with families, we change our approach as a unit when dealing with issues. It's great if a business is flexible and can adjust approaches dependant on the needs of their people however, this cannot always be achieved without changing cultures, values and behaviours which might not necessarily need to be changed. Alike partnerships in life, our partnerships in business will come and go, some with joy and at times on a more sombre note however, as HR professionals, we try to avoid this as much as people, coaching our leaders to do the same. So think again about using the term family because, are you really creating the right atmosphere or, just what gives you an easier life. Uncomfortable conversations will have to be had and cannot be overlooked, however, we might, in our families. #hrcommunity #hr #hrinsights #employeerelations
