It was an incredible last 2 days of learning and connecting with our customers and partners at the #awssummit in Washington, DC this week. I had the privilege to host a panel discussion with Wanda Brown, Brian Anthony, and Daren Purnell Jr. (DJ) on modernizing and re-imagining mission critical applications on the cloud. Key takeaways: always work backwards from the mission and customer; engage and listen to all stakeholders; ensure that IT and mission are in lock-step; assess end-user adoption as a key success metric; decentralize the decision making and empower teams; create a safe zone for disagreements, but be decisive in decision making.
