Fantastic example of insider threat and the need to properly vet! Any staff member regardless of role may inadvertently become a conduit for information leakage or exploitation by adversaries. All too often support staff become almost invisible and so are granted much more unsupervised access than they require because escorting is time-consuming and staff-intensive. A proactive approach to personnel screening is indispensable for maintaining security integrity but there remains a requirement to enforce the ‘need to know’ principle and ensure staff, even if vetted, are not provided access to information they don't require. Otherwise, you may end up losing the America’s!
#OTD Alexander Hamilton was born. Among his many feats, Hamilton enrolled his friend Hercules Mulligan, a NYC tailor who counted British officers as his customers, to spy on the British for George Washington. By outfitting British officers, appealing to their egos, and asking the right questions, Mulligan gained valuable insight into the enemy’s movements. Mulligan’s information saved Washington’s life twice. On one occasion, a rushed officer in need of a coat disclosed his mission to capture Washington later that day, and Mulligan dispatched word to warn Gen. Washington. Mulligan is buried next to Alexander Hamilton in Trinity Church, NYC.

I love watching students grow in the sport of shooting firearms. Today I was able to watch a man who when we first met: ❌ Wasn’t able to rack his slide back on his pistol ❌ Wasn’t able to load his rounds in his magazine ❌ wasn’t able to hit his target more than 5 yds away. To watching him take what he learned from the first session and: ✅ Rack his slide back ✅Load his own rounds in his own magazine ✅ Hit his target beyond 5yds away This is growth! He grew his capability to perform from going home and training up on the things that were taught to him. This is being a good student. This is what leadership looks like and taking advantage of your own growth. After two lessons with him, we are on track to acquire targets faster, avoid the bad habit of anticipating the shot, and put more shots on target at greater distances. Practice increases your capabilities. Practice determines your ability and practice is your sustainment program. Come join me with Magnus Group LLC and enhance your skills! Memorial Day is a solemn tribute to the courageous men and women who sacrificed their lives while serving in the United States Armed Forces. Originally established to honor Civil War soldiers, this day has grown into a national remembrance for all who have died defending our freedoms and values. This Memorial Day comes at a time when our nation witnesses violent protests on college campuses. Amid these reflections, we also confront controversial expressions of freedom, such as the burning of an American flag. This act, while contentious, is protected under the First Amendment as a form of free speech. It prompts us to question and debate: Does burning an American flag entail a demonstration of freedom of speech? How do we balance respect for our national symbols with the right to individual expression? These events challenge us to confront hate and evil and question what American soldiers were sacrificing their lives for. As we commemorate this day, I invite everyone to reflect: What does Memorial Day mean to you? How do we honor and perpetuate the legacy of those who have sacrificed so much?

Memorable Quotes by President Jimmy Carter The 39th president of the United States has dedicated himself to community service and championed human rights throughout much of his life. Our American values are not luxuries, but necessities -- not the salt in our bread, but the bread itself. ~ Jimmy Carter War may sometimes be a necessary evil. But no matter how necessary, it is always an evil, never a good. We will not learn how to live together in peace by killing each other's children. ~ Jimmy Carter To be true to ourselves, we must be true to others. ~ Jimmy Carter We should live our lives as though Christ were coming this afternoon. ~ Jimmy Carter We cannot resort to simplistic or extreme solutions which substitute myths for common sense. ~ Jimmy Carter America did not invent human rights. In a very real sense, it is the other way round. Human rights invented America. ~ Jimmy Carter In a nuclear age, each of us is threatened when peace is not secured everywhere. - ~ Jimmy Carter The awareness that health is dependent upon habits that we control makes us the first generation in history that to a large extent determines its own destiny.
Jimmy Carter is a national treasure.

Where Were You on September 11? Each year on Patriot Day, we remember the horrific attacks of September 11, 2001, that took the lives of 2,977 innocent people. The reality that 22 years have passed since that tragic day seems almost unreal. For most of us, the precise moment when we heard about the planes crashing into the World Trade Center towers is seared into our minds, an indelible part of our personal histories. As the sun rises each September 11, we stand in solidarity, mindful of the past, and committed to fostering a future of unity, empathy, and hope. Beyond the sadness and heartache, the act of remembering is a tribute to the lives lost, a commitment to learning from history, and a declaration of our shared humanity. It's a solemn promise to honor the past by building a better, more compassionate future. Remembering ensures that the events of 9/11 continue to shape our collective consciousness and guide us toward a world of understanding, peace, and resilience.
