Another excellent paper at #JMXR! Journal of Medical Extended Reality I love this use case for #augmentedreality during #pediatric #anesthesia induction. It is well established that anesthesia induction leads to stress and anxiety in patients, including children. In this study an #AR based game is used to distract kids and increase their #cognitive load during the induction procedure. Although a relatively small-scale pilot study, the results are quite impressive with the AR solution reducing stress and having calming benefits. Simple, yet elegant! cc: Jeffrey I.
