**Finding the Right Collaborators: A Guide for Entrepreneurs** "Hey Gary, what qualities do you look for in collaborators, whether they're on your team or potential clients?" Robert, I prioritize emotional intelligence, kindness, and warmth. I value nice people and start with humanity. It's easier for me to sense someone's warmth and think, "Let's try it out." Next, I ensure clear communication. I over-articulate to collaborators or employees about what I expect: "Hey, you're signing up for this. Here's what you're in for." Over-communicating reality helps set the right expectations. I use the ICJ approach: - **Intuition**: Immediate sense of personality. - **Clarity**: Clear on what they're getting into. - **Judgment**: Assess their response and enthusiasm. Trust your intuition, be clear about expectations, and gauge their readiness. This helps in building strong, effective teams. #Entrepreneurship #Collaboration #TeamBuilding #EmotionalIntelligence #Leadership #BusinessGrowth https://lnkd.in/dDDRAytV

Bring solutions, not problems or beat feet. As an entrepreneur who occasionally has to be in “manager” mode, it must be made clear that when problems arise your team has an equal responsibility to provide solutions. Of course, a large part of their confidence in doing so relies on your leadership capabilities, but that’s a discussion for another post. If you allow your team to constantly bring you problems to fix, your work load is going to sky rocket and the things that are the most important in growing your business will get pushed off — stunting the growth of your business. I had a rule in my office. Bring me your problems and challenges with a solution attached to them. You stare at me blankly with the “fix it” look — I’m gonna stare right back at you. #staringcontest Empower your people to bring thoughts and solutions to problems. This inspires more creativity and buy-in with your team. We like to believe as entrepreneurs that we know best, but I promise you the success of your business is in part due to the success of your team. Treat them as such. #wednesdaywisdom #leadership #duty #problemsolvingskills #solutionsarchitect #healthcare #privatepractice

😥Why Do We Wait to Ask for Help? If your business is struggling, why does it take so long to reach out for help? I’ve often found that by the time many business owners seek assistance, it’s almost too late to turn things around. But why do we delay? 1. Pride: Admitting we need help can feel like admitting failure. But seeking guidance is a sign of strength, not weakness.😊 2. Fear of Judgment: We worry about what others will think. Yet, the most successful entrepreneurs understand the value of external perspectives and expertise.🙏 3. Optimism Bias: We believe things will get better on their own. While optimism is important, it must be balanced with realistic assessments and proactive solutions.🔥 4. Lack of Awareness: Sometimes, we don’t realise how serious the issues are until they’ve escalated. Regularly evaluating your business can prevent problems from becoming crises.💥 👉The sooner you seek help, the more options you have to navigate challenges and steer your business toward success. Quiet people in business are underestimated. Here’s why they shouldn’t be: • They’re better listeners. • They hear problems the talkers can’t. • They have less ego which makes them easier to work with. • They can focus better because they don’t need to endlessly network. • They thrive on creativity rather than reactivity. • They need less management. • They think deeper than most. • They have higher EQ. What’s your experience working with or being a quiet person? #careers #leadership #entrepreneurship 📌 If you want to be more like quiet people, read this: https://lnkd.in/gPw5t8DJ

A major fear for employees when the company they work for is sold is that the buyer will come in and fire everyone. This almost never happens. The more common problem is a cultural mismatch between your people and the new leadership. It’s also possible to mitigate this problem. As a business owner, make sure to carefully vet any buyer you are considering. You’ll want to make sure their culture and values align with the ones your company has operated under. Here are a few important questions to ask about this topic: 1️⃣ What adjectives would you use to describe your ideal company culture? 2️⃣ Do you have a personal mission or values statement? If you had to come up with these statements, what would they be? 3️⃣ When you’ve managed people in the past, what personality type(s) did you tend to clash with? 4️⃣ In your opinion, how important are key managers and employees to a business? #CompanyCulture #Entrepreneur #Entrepreneurship https://lnkd.in/dHxxD3dU

How can you prevent a cultural mismatch when selling your company? We always recommend that sellers perform their own due diligence on potential buyers during the transaction process. This includes asking about topics like company culture, acquisition history, and more. Zack Gibson has provided some sample questions below! #CompanyCulture #Entrepreneur #Entrepreneurship #Culture #Business https://lnkd.in/g_gdBF66

I don’t know why, but I find that too many business owners work in their business rather than working on their business. Many business owners get caught up in the day-to-day operations, neglecting crucial strategic planning. Here are 4 strategies to shift gears and focus on growth: Delegate effectively: Identify tasks that can be outsourced or delegated to free up your time for strategic planning and decision-making. 💼 Set clear goals: Define your long-term objectives and break them down into actionable steps. Regularly review and adjust your goals to stay on track. 🎯 Invest in learning: Continuously educate yourself on industry trends, leadership strategies, and new technologies to stay ahead of the curve. 📚 Build a strong team: Surround yourself with talented individuals who complement your skills and share your vision. Empower them to take ownership and contribute to the growth of the business. 👥 Remember, working on your business is just as important as working in it. Take the time to strategize and watch your business thrive. ✨ #BusinessStrategy #Entrepreneurship #LeadershipDevelopment #TeamBuilding
