We’re now in an advanced stage of digital engagement, not just the basics. To succeed, you need to understand this shift. We're in "real 100-level course" territory, not "101-level." “Culturally-relevant” content isn’t a buzzword. It’s not trendy. It’s a proven strategy for ads that works 2.8x better. And it’s also the foundation of our business. This is a massive trend I’ve been seeing for years and it only becomes more and more apparent. When I say messy, I’m talking about raw, unfiltered, down to earth connection. I’m personally still feeling into this and getting comfortable with showing up more authentically with East Perry. In IG stories, in our email campaigns, even with our ads. TikTok has really pushed this into hyper focus with “talk to the camera about why this product is amazing”. Of course, this can also come off as staged. But if you figure out how to do this across your platforms so that your customers can connect in and become part of the brand, you’ll see massive growth in your profits and repeat customers. People want to feel an emotional connection to the brands they are buying from and the days of a 24-7 polished look are over. Of course, there are moments for polished content, I personally still use it.
