First England match down and we won. Already there’s negative press about the team’s delivery and Southgate’s perhaps somewhat nervous inability to take decisions to sub players off sooner. With a strong team and a decent manager, it’s a wonder why we all feel nervous when it comes to watching England play. ⚽️ Could this feeling have been ingrained in us all for as long as we can remember due to the onslaught of post-match criticism? ⚽️ If so, when anticipated fault-finding out-weighs any kind of positivity or praise, this leads to a rise in self-defence, self-protection, and inability to act as one normally would. ⚽️ And if this is the impact it can have on us as mere spectators, then how the hell does this feel for Southgate and his team?! The societal norm is for our squad to play, only for the press to tear apart both team strategy and physical performance. Perhaps if this narrative changed, we would see the self-belief, confidence and decisive play that both team and manager are being so heavily criticised for not having? A part of having a growth mindset is about reflecting on where to improve whilst leveraging what did go well, so let’s also celebrate: ⭐️ Bellingham’s goal in less than 15 minutes play, relieving him of just some of the massive focus and pressure he’s been under! ⭐️ Pickford’s ability to keep a late equaliser at bay when we were almost home and dry! ⭐️ Ultimately a win! Stronger play in the first half, with lessons to learn moving forwards… → What are your thoughts on this? Did you enjoy the match? What do you think of the squad and their manager? Or are you here for the men in shorts? 😉 #mindset #confidence #motivation #encouragement #belief ______________________________

🌟 Day 5 at EWH University: Mastering the Art of Sales Play Calling 🏈 Like in football, effective communication in sales is about precision and strategy. Play calling creates a language unique to the team in football, ensuring seamless, coordinated action. Similarly, in sales: - Develop a Unique Sales Language: Tailor your communication to resonate with your team and clients. - Strategic Coordination: Like coordinating a football play, align your sales strategies for maximum impact. - Adapt and React: Be ready to adjust your 'play calling' based on the situation, just as a quarterback would. Let's apply these principles to enhance our sales team work! https://buff.ly/3uyXIzP #SalesStrategy #TeamCommunication #EWHUniversity

When political hopefuls answer direct questions, they are of the people. The currect crop of smarmy dodgers aren't fooling anyone. I always advise any people to do what is within their direct interests and I have been a human algorithm of us for the past decade, which is why I know we won't. However, this is what our interests look like. It's just a shame we as a people don't realise that power isn't numeric, it's centralised. There only 246K Jews in the UK but they've centralised their power through the Board of Jewish Deputies and numerous institutions. However, they're aligned by code born from partaking in bar mitzvah and tradition. We by way of the Census of England & Wales are 2,456,549 African, African-Caribbean and mixed heritage people in the UK (and we didn't all fill in the census). However, like with the Tower of Babel, we're all babbling 🤷🏿 Power isn't numeric, that's not how you effect the political system and your David Lammys won't tell you that, it's by business owners, advocates, political hopefuls and influential people centralising their own power through ethnic aggregation. Ethnic aggregation makes "Black British" people uncomfortable infront of others, who scorn us for thinking it but practice it perfectly. Every Party field a Bangladeshi candidate in Tower Hamlet's...why? To win at chess isn't to know the moves alone, it's to understand that we are equal (Black & White), it's only our opponents understanding of the game which is his advantage and our lack of understanding, which is our disadvantage. In any case, do as though wilt but Natalie Campbell MBE is what our Mayoral interests look like. 🙏🏿

With 9 days to go…the media has woken up. I genuinely believe I have been blocked from hustings by the current Mayor’s team because I’m a threat, he didn’t want to face any real competition or show how lacking his campaign is against real honesty, passion and commitment. Some people *chose* to comply. The silence from organisations and sectors I’m actively championing and endorsing is interesting too. But it’s hard to stop a good thing. Onwards… #TeamCampbell #IndependentCandidate #Vote #MayorofLondon

Sometimes #careeradvice can be helpful from a trusted source. But not when it's from the classic TV show "Candid Camera" and especially if you're on the receiving end of one of their pranks. Here's some questionable career guidance that the recently departed and hugely #innovative comedian Richard Lewis received when he was a student at New Jersey's Dwight Morrow High School in 1964. Bottom line: before considering the suggestions and recommendations that someone is offering, be sure to doublecheck the validity/credibility/expertise of the person who's offering it! https://lnkd.in/ebktWD5j

Have you experienced job misconceptions? Have you ever seen a harpist play? 👼 For some, this will conjure visions of sweet girls with angel wings. This is an analogy I use when describing misconceptions about other's jobs. Then, I found this clip of exactly what I have often tried to describe to people. Many years ago, during one of the operas from Richard Wagner's Ring Cycle, I was seated next to the harps, exactly as seen in this video. The first time I experienced it, I put my horn down and sat in awe as I watched them sweat through this section of the music. I have never seen anyone work so hard, using their hands and feet simultaneously as they blazed through this mind-boggling array of chord changes. You can hear the relief once they get to the end. Until then, I thought I had a lot to do. Many jobs are like this. We downplay what one person does over what we have to do. Do you see people shrugging off other people's work in your profession? You may even be the one no one notices as if your job is less important. Many jobs seem less important until the job isn't done. Try going without a cleaning staff for a week and see how the office looks. What can you do to help others overcome these misconceptions? ✅ Everyone was hired for a reason. ✅ Everyone is part of a team. ✅ Every job matters. Remember, no matter how menial you think a job is, it directly or indirectly improves your work. https://lnkd.in/d2npkgGS Applause to Mads Kikkenborg for talking about his first experiences abroad. A lot of his colleagues experience these challenges at an even earlier age (16-20). Neither the players nor their parents are aware of the social challenges that will hit them, when they close their apartment door after training every day. It will hit hard. My hope is that stakeholders (agents, club selling, club buying) in the football industry will soon start to support the players at a personal level off the pitch. It will be good for both performance and the mental health of the human being. Stress factors on the pitch (are inevitable and a part of the game): Significantly higher sporting level. Tougher competition from fellow players. A new locker room without a group of friends. High expectations from the buying club, fans, family, friends, agent. A lot of new routines in relation to matchdays and training. Stress factors off the pitch (are just as many but can be handled by support): Many hours alone - not freedom but for many an "enemy". Lack of structure in the new everyday life. Doubts, loneliness, dissatisfaction. “100” practical things to solve. New language and culture. Integration of a partner and children. A lot of people ask me why the club selling a player should invest in player support? Well, the club selling a player will raise their possibility to get their performance bonusses. And if a club has a good track record (their players are successful on the pitch) it will make the club able to ask higher transfer prices in general. Please remember there is a human being behind every athlete🙏

https://lnkd.in/gWyn28G4 Know why you do what you do professionally, and you’ll never work a day in your life. Money buys us freedom to do what we want in life. It’s a symbol of the freedom and meaning we can derive from our life. When you choose to work, whatever it is, always know WHY. In this regard, as Matt says, “…it’s the thing.” Remember: people choose to change their jobs for primarily 1 of 5 reasons or a combination of: 1. Challenge 2. Location 3. Advancement 4. Money 5. Stability Money eventually becomes a byproduct of the good work that we choose to do. #hamptonstrategies
