In partnership with Visit California, the Visit SLO CAL Sales and PR teams recently hosted a Post-IPW group FAM (familiarization) tour consisting of 11 journalists and 9 travel trade professionals from around the world. The one-day itinerary showcased the best of #SLOCAL including: · Lunch at Rock n’ Roll Diner · A hummer tour of the Oceano Dunes · Strawberry tasting at Okui · Oyster shucking & wine tasting wine tasting with Scar of the Sea and Morro Bay Oyster Company and Shanley Farms · Tour and dinner at Etto Pasta · Sensorio · An overnight stay at Hotel SLO Thank you to our partners for their contributions and participation. SLO CAL was showcased for the world to see at IPW with an activation at the California Plaza, located just outside the tradeshow at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The activation provided a chance to experience the region firsthand with the laid-back luxury vibes of SLO CAL. Attendees discovered authentic experiences that highlighted the people, place, and pace of the SLO CAL, including a tribute to the Downtown SLO Farmers’ Market. The experience included the authentic tastes and sounds of a Thursday night in downtown SLO with live music, tri-tip BBQ, Firestone Walker beer, and craft cocktails made with spirits from Paso Robles Distillery trail. As a nod to the famous Oceano Dunes, a real dune buggy was set center stage giving attendees the opportunity for a photo while immersing themselves in everything #SLOCAL has to offer. SLO CAL’s California Plaza activation offered travel buyers, media, and DMOs the opportunity to connect with the SLO CAL team to learn about the destination. Thank you to all the partners who made the California Plaza activation a success!
