Following the market launch of modular push-in inserts last year, the HARTING Technology Group has now added the first monoblock variant for the Han-Compact housing to its portfolio. The new Han Q 8/0 insert enables up to 30% faster field assembly of connectors thanks to the push-in technology. With the Han Q with push-in technology, power and signals up to 16 A / 500 V can be transmitted in the smallest of spaces. A contact chamber is available for the protective earth conductor (PE). It is therefore particularly suitable for environments with little room for installation work. Such conditions are often found, for example, when connecting motors/actuators. Push-in technology is a further development of the cage clamp. It makes the connection as simple as possible and is therefore particularly suitable for field assembly, for example in energy systems or when assembling machine modules/production lines. It also simplifies the handling of components, for example during maintenance work. A special tool is available for quick disassembly. If wires with ferrules are used, no tools are required for connections with push-in technology. Strands fitted with ferrules can be inserted directly into the contact chambers for push-in connections. An internal clamping spring snaps shut when the ferrule reaches the bottom of the chamber and ensures tensile strength. With stripped stranded wires (without sleeve), the pressure of a screwdriver on the orange actuator is sufficient to hold the cage clamp open when inserting the cable ends. The advantages of the monoblock version at a glance: - Cost savings: installation time is reduced by up to 30 % by inserting the conductor directly into the contact chamber - Maximum flexibility, as stranded and solid wires can be connected without tools when using ferrules - A simple screwdriver is sufficient when using stripped stranded wires (without ferrules). https://lnkd.in/dMz5vjd4 #mechanicalengineering #energy #electricmotors #drives #electricalengineering #cables #electrical #installation #assembly #maintenance #connectors #distribution

Hello Power Engineers Welcome to power plant guru for new video on ejector and vacuum in condenser. This video explains working principle of ejector in steam turbine-based power plants. This is a very important device and young engineers find it difficult to understand. Based upon Bernoulli’s Principle, as the velocity of a fluid increases, its pressure decreases, and vice versa. An Ejector works by accelerating a high pressure stream (the ‘motive’) through a nozzle, converting the pressure energy into velocity. Around the nozzle tip, where velocity is highest, a low pressure region is created. This is often called the suction chamber of the Ejector. Where the pressure in this region is lower than the pressure of the suction fluid connected to the Ejector side-inlet or ‘suction branch’, it will be entrained/sucked into the body of the Ejector. The two fluid streams then travel through the diffuser section of the Ejector, where velocity is decreased as a result of the diverging geometry and pressure is regained. Importantly, the low pressure suction stream experiences a pressure increase/compression, whilst the motive stream sees a decrease in pressure, as some of its energy has been used to ‘do work’ on the suction stream. The resultant discharge pressure is therefore somewhere between the motive and suction pressures. https://lnkd.in/gE8T-pjg

Sales Director and Partner at CNC Onsite A/S Mobile high precision machining and up-tower repair solutions for wind turbines
Repairing instead of replacing is good for the turbine owner (lower costs, reduced down time) and for the environment (significantly reduced CO2 emissions). Here is an example from a yaw ring repair. #cnconsite #insitu #highprecision
We have just welcomed our service technicians back to the workshop. They have successfully completed a yaw ring repair inside the nacelle of two wind turbines, where a total of 66 teeth, comprising 7 + 4 segments, have been replaced. Using our patented and portable precision tools, the damaged teeth have been replaced instead of replacing the entire yaw ring. In this video, we showcase the process from the beginning of the task on-site until our technicians are back home. #yawringrepair #precisiontool #uptowerrepair #cnconsite

Task for the day was to replace a faulty twist guard(rotary limit)in the nacelles. Rotary limit switch used to control and measure the movement of the Nacelle or the position of the nacelle Features - It consists of a gear motor that transfers movement to the cams and the other movement detection devices through a primary input reduction stage (worm gear and helical toothed gear) and one or more secondary output stages. - Accurate adjustment of cams by means of screws. - Positive opening NC contacts for safety functions #windenergy #electrical #electricalenergy #gogreen2023 #windfarm #maintenanceandrepair #maintenance #electricalengineering #workatheight #workersafety #turbines #positivechange #positivemindset #nacelle #learningeveryday #learn #passionandpurpose
