To become the leading snacking powerhouse, we needed to unleash the power of media. We wanted a world-class agency partner to drive our growth agenda at Hershey. We're incredibly excited to be joining forces with Publicis Groupe and the creation of MiltonONE! Managing through a pitch process in 2 months is no easy feat, however it taught me a lot about our industry as a whole: 1. 🚨 People! Emphatically people!! Our industry has some incredible talent that are just waiting to be unleashed into a new era of advertising. 2. ❌ Removing pricing templates from the process will allow the agencies to focus on strategic thinking and remove the chase to the bottom on CPMs. 3. 🛑 Removing principal trading from the process allowed us to get the best and most transparent responses from all participants. 4. 💬 Being incredibly clear and concise on what you're looking for in a partner as well as providing clear feedback throughout the process starts building a transparent partnership from day one. I wrote the book "You Get The Agency You Deserve" to help clients find the best fit agencies for them, and to shine a light on some secrets and shadows to help make both sides more aware and therefore more successful.
