National Vietnam War Veterans Day is a time to honor the millions of Americans who served during the Vietnam War and their families. March 29 is the anniversary of the last withdrawal of combat and combat support units from South Vietnam in 1973. As of 2020, there were more than 6 million Vietnam-era veterans still living. Almost 3 million members of the U.S. armed forces served in Vietnam, and more than 58,000 gave their lives. As of 2023, more than 1,500 are still identified as missing in action or unaccounted for from that conflict, and the government continues to work to bring them home. More than 260 Medals of Honor and more than 350,000 Purple Hearts have been awarded to Vietnam veterans. In the White House’s 2022 Presidential Proclamation on the Commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War, President Biden wrote, “For almost two decades, Americans raised their right hands and committed to serve and defend our Constitution as uniformed members of the United States Armed Forces during a tumultuous period in our country’s history…. Today and every day, we honor their bravery and commitment…Every service member of the Vietnam generation should know that their sacrifices mattered and that their service made a difference.” #ThankVietnamVets #SeeThemThankThem #Vietnam50 #VietnamWar #nationalvietnamwarveteransday #USArmySignalCorps #Signalcorps #USARMY @US_CYBERCOM @ARCYBER @armyfutures @Signal_School @US_CYBERCOM @USArmyNETCOM

Your Post has triggered my curity: to know if there was a role that the “Tuskegee Airmen” or the “Red Tails” served during the Vietnam War Era? This will be my next Research Project!
Between Nov. 1, 1955, and May 15, 1975, 3.9 million Americans served in the Vietnam War. Today, we pay tribute to those veterans and their families, many of whom never received the recognition or gratitude they deserved when they returned home. To those veterans, as well as the nearly 60,000 who didn’t make it home, we thank you endlessly for your service and sacrifice. ❤️ #NationalVietnamWarVeteransDay

Important reminder for the upcoming holiday... 👉Memorial Day (last Monday of May) is a day for remembering and honoring military personnel who died during service to their country. 👉Veterans Day (November 11th) is the day set aside to thank and honor all who served honorably in the military; past and present, living and deceased. Note the difference and plan your social media posts appropriately. As GI Joe would say, "Now you know, and knowing is half the battle." 💯 Hot Take🔥 It's really not appropriate to say "Happy" Memorial Day. When you think about the true meaning of the day, it's more of a solemn note. #UnpopularOpinion . . . #SocialMedia #SocialMediaMarketing #SocialMediaStrategy #SocialMediaManager #SmallBusinessOwner #DigitalMarketing #digitalmarketing #socialmediaguru #smallbusinesssupport #MemorialDay #VeteransDay #Philadelphia #Marketing #SocialMediaExpert #SocialMediaStrategist #BucksCountyPA #BucksCountyBusiness #DoylestownPA #WarringtonPA #ChalfontPA #NewtownPA #MontcoPA #MakeItMontco #HatboroPA #HorshamPA #PlymouthMeeting #AdmasCountyPA #FrederickMD #SocialMediaHelp

In many militaries, commissioned officers above the rank of captain, and equivalent in services, are permitted to retain their rank after retirement as an honourific. This practice is especially common for higher ranks, such as those with earned stars. It's widely regarded as a mark of respect for their professionalism, dedication and expertise, both within military and civilian spheres. This recognition represents one of the highest honours bestowed upon an individual officer by the country. Upon retirement, they are no longer considered ordinary citizens; they carry the responsibility to uphold the dignity and decorum of the armed forces. Those who choose to relinquish such recognition may voluntarily decommission themselves and pursue a civilian path. Noteworthy world leaders have followed this path, being recognized solely as civilian heads of state or in other positions without a retired rank.

#DidYouKnow Veterans Day honors all who have served the country in war or peace - dead or alive - although it's largely intended to thank living veterans for their sacrifices. Compared to Memorial Day which is a time to remember those who gave their lives for our country, particularly in battle or from wounds they suffered in battle. To all Veterans - We Thank You! #DMIHotels #WhyCallDMI #VeteransDay #Meetings #MeetingPlanners #CorporateMeetings #CorporateEvents #Conferences #TradeShows #MeetingsAndEvents #CorporateMeetingPlanners #MeetingProfs #EventProfs
