It's interesting to see the downstream impact that AI-generated images is having on the push for authorship attribution and transparency. The introduction of content credentials seems like a huge win for creators and consumers, and something that should have been around for a long time. Hopefully companies beyond Adobe, Microsoft, Nikon, and Leica Camera Ltd will begin support the new paradigm. But some big question remains: How is this different than EXIF data? Will AI-image generation platforms respect the intent and implement Content Credentials in a transparent way?
