Founder/CEO-WABA™ Research & Development, Impacting Football through cutting edge training methodologies, equipment, facilities & innovations.
Cognitive Overlay Super Rondos, unopposed. Everyone who plays soccer, plays rondo, no? Barca Academy on average plays 125 hours a year or about 45 minutes every day. At WABA we play what we have trademarked Super Rondo. This video shows an easy warm up version with U11-U16 players. As the ball is coming to you, say the persons name you are going to pass to. Sounds easy but it is dificult. Make your brain really stretch and call out the name of who you want the person your planning passing to, to pass to. We have dozens of variations to get players thinking one, two and three steps ahead. Now add opposition and the cognitive challenge can be over the top. WABAON!

Infinitely proud of my son, Santiago German, who continues his winning streak in chess while competing in the UAE and around the world! While I can hardly stare at my computer for more than two hours straight, Gio can stay steel focused during his classical chess games, which last more than 4 hours at times! (Who says Gen Z guys have short attention spans?) Here's the full story on his latest first place triumph: https://lnkd.in/da8jZDVm Mabuhay!

On 15 May 2024, my group Kill the King (Group 4) had presented ‘5 Top Opening d4’ for MPU3492 Sports (Chess). The 5 top d4 opening we’ve presented are Queen’s Gambit, Colle System, Trompowsky Attack, King’s Indian Defense, and Nimzo-Indian Defense. I’ve been tasked to present the Nimzo-Indian Defense, which is considered as one of Black’s best responses to White’s d4 opener. With this opening, Black would often give up the bishop pair, but will in turn receive a better pawn structure and easy development. This opening is characterised by the moves: 1. d4 Nf6 2. c4 e6 3. Nc3 Bb4 Throughout this presentation, I’ve learnt about the different types of d4 opening in chess. I’ve also learnt to communicate and work together with my groupmates in order to successfully create our presentation. Besides that, from the other groups’ presentations, I’ve learnt about the history of chess and its current development, chess rules and regulations, 5 top e4 opening and other types of chess opening, as well as chess traps. All these presentations had deepened my understanding on how to play chess and had made me a better chess player.
