8 years ago these 2 babies moved across continents and started a couple of crazy new adventures. When we were planning our relocation to the US, we imagined starting a Middle Eastern food business together. We purchased a stall at the local farmer's market. We brainstormed business names. We tested recipes. Days after saying "I do", we said it again at the lawyer when we filed an LLC. But there was a big problem. We vastly underestimated the costs of things like kitchen space. Plus, neither of us was particularly keen on the idea of being cooks. Whoopsies. We knew we didn't want to go take full time jobs. But we didn't know what the alternative looked like. For the next 8 months we took any odd job we could - turning our basement into an Airbnb, dog sitting, personal cheffing, and more. And then a new idea began to sprout - an occasional freelance job here and there, conversations reinforcing that there was a need and a market, ideas churning. We repurposed that LLC and gave it new life (and a new DBA). Marketing by Emma was born. I never would have started a business without Erez's push. I never would have had the audacity to speak on stages or start my own YouTube channel without his constant belief in me (even when I can't see it). Celebrating our anniversary isn't just a celebration of our relationship, but of all the things we've built and are building on this wild adventure of life. Not everyone can or should turn their life partner into a business partner. But everyone, especially if you're an entrepreneur, does need that person in your corner - nudging you when you need it, cheering you when you're scared, standing by your side when life takes an unexpected turn, and believing in you when you can't see your own special magic.

I just landed ✈ New place, new journey! Yes, I just landed a one-year retainership with my client. Here's how I did it (without effort): A few days ago, I texted a Dentist I'd worked with. I wrote stories for her social media about her work and Patients Guess what? I randomly texted her to find out how she was doing. A few days later, she sent me a DM: “Hey Doc, are you available to help manage my account?” I replied yes And the deal was sealed See, if someone has previously worked with you, it's easier to choose you again. Don't abandon your old clients. Check up on them. Give suggestions on how to improve their work or make it easier. Everything is not about money Show your clients you genuinely care. P.S. Life Update(long-overdue) : Around 2 months back I quit my job and started working on Fluff Crew full-time. Fluff Crew was founded with an aim to bridge the knowledge gap when it comes to raising our pets. Starting a business might seem simple, but that changes when you actually take the plunge. Is it overwhelming? Absolutely! Are there numerous "What should I do?" questions? You bet! But to be completely honest, it's a lot of fun. (Imposter syndrome sometimes comes in hot😂) - Have big goals to work towards but lay down the foundations with small goals to help get you there. - Celebrating your wins (big or small) is so important. - Never undersell yourself for the sake of gaining a client Heres to the next 8 years 🥂

Every small win is a reminder that we’re moving in the right direction. Today, we hit 900 followers for Pennant Video. And I’m just here to celebrate a milestone that may seem small, but speaks volumes to me. Many of you are friends, family and close peers. Your love and support mean the world to me, every. single. day. But, to me, this small milestone also signifies progress. It demonstrates that we’re delivering value to our audience.
