On the path to zero-emission vehicles, the availability of critical raw materials in Europe is a key enabling condition.
Dr. Andre Majdalani was delighted to exchange with Commissioner Thierry Breton and central players from within the entire value chain on the readiness of the industry to deliver on the ambitions of the Critical Raw Materials Act and supply Europe's growing #EV market.
We, at AMG Lithium, look forward to partnering with the European Commission and the entire value chain to develop a domestic critical raw materials sector.

Due to ever-changing market volatility, it is imperative that energy managers understand the components of their total gas price and evaluate their natural gas purchasing strategy. Effective purchasing strategies are essential for businesses to optimize their energy costs and stay competitive.
On page 14 in the latest edition of The Illinois Manufacturer, IMA partner Constellation explains how its SmartPortfolio program can be a valuable tool that enables automated diversified purchasing.
With the recent (and remarkable) news about the new Danfoss $60M manufacturing facility in #Tallahassee, it is important to review the benefits of economic development / competitiveness and projects like these. Not only in our local community but across the region.
Job Creation: A growing economy tends to generate more employment opportunities, reducing unemployment rates and improving overall workforce participation.
- Leon County Government needs 13,870 net new jobs by 2030.
Higher Incomes: Economic growth often leads to increased incomes for individuals and households. This can result in an improved standard of living and greater purchasing power.
Investment Opportunities: A strong economy attracts domestic and foreign investments, fostering business growth and innovation. This can lead to the development of new industries and technologies. Danfoss is from Denmark. Another outside company looking to expand in Tallahassee is The Greentree Group
Infrastructure Improvement: Economic development can contribute to the enhancement of infrastructure, including transportation, communication, and utilities. Improved infrastructure supports further economic activities. A positive ripple effect.
Poverty Reduction: As incomes rise and job opportunities increase, the incidence of poverty tends to decrease. Economic development can contribute to lifting people out of poverty.
- Poverty rate in Leon County Government: 19.4%
Access to Education and Healthcare: Increased resources from a growing economy can be allocated to social services such as education and healthcare. This leads to improved access to quality education and healthcare facilities. This will continue with #FSUHealth and as well as other companies like Knowli Data Science, WellConnector, Ruvos and more.
A little more on education per the Florida Scorecard.
- 3rd grade reading scores: 52% (declining)
- # not reading at grade level: 1,188 (increasing)
- High school graduation rate: 86.1% (declining)
Innovation and Research: Economic development encourages investment in research and development, fostering innovation. This can lead to advancements in technology and science. We are already seeing this out of FAMU, TCC and FSU.
Improved Quality of Life: A strong economy is often associated with an improved quality of life for citizens. This includes better living conditions, access to amenities, and overall well-being.
Social Stability: Economic development can contribute to social stability by addressing issues such as income inequality and providing opportunities for social mobility. This, in turn, can contribute to reduced social unrest.
Global Competitiveness: Nations (and states) with strong economic development are often more competitive on the global stage. They can attract international trade and partnerships, contributing to their overall economic strength. Example: Ruvos team members just returned from a public modernization trip in Uganda with APHL
President Danfoss Turbocor Compressors Inc. at Danfoss Turbocor
Today, we marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter at Danfoss Turbocor® with the opening of our new factory. This impressive facility spans 145,000 square feet, doubling our production capacity to meet the increasing global demand from our customers.
It was a momentous occasion as we welcomed the majority of our customers from around the world to celebrate this milestone alongside the Clausen family, owners of Danfoss AS. Our partnership in the oil-free community is transforming the global cooling and heating industry, doing more with much less energy.
This expansion represents a strategic investment in Tallahassee, our technology and manufacturing hub, and home to the majority of our amazing Danfoss Turbocor team. Not only does this initiative create new employment opportunities in the Tallahassee area, but it also underscores Danfoss' commitment to achieving carbon neutrality by 2030.
Through partnerships with the local prestigious education and research institutions, FSU, FAMU, and TCC, we keep developing our pool of talents and technology to support our journey.
Let this new chapter begin!!
I fully agree with my fellow board member in Maritime Battery Forum, Eileen Tausch from Crowley that battery adoption will continue to grow, but it could grow faster. In this interview she says, "So much of the commercial industry boils down to financials. Specifically in the United States, we need mechanisms to move the needle further toward the cost-effectiveness of electric vessels (specifically those utilizing maritime batteries). We still see high capital costs that are difficult to fund upfront, even with the significant reductions in operational costs that are achievable." A majority of near-shore and short-sea vessels can be zero emission with today`s technology advancements, but we need financing and infrastructure first - not only in the US - but all over the world. Lets hope for more collaboration across value chains, political willingness to make a change and brave governments to make the right priorities. That would move the needle..

Some investors have reached out to us wanting to understand the Hanford transaction better. So here are some clarifying points:
1. In this transaction, we did not sell any physical assets. We were leasing Hanford previously and have now simply changed landlords.
2. We did not sell any of our equipment and the factory continues to operate normally.
3. The transaction gives FF up to $12 million of capital to improve the Hanford facility and infrastructure, which helps us with production ramp-up.
4. The Company views this transaction as a positive development as it is non-dilutive to stockholders. No shares will be issued with this transaction.
5. The new lease provides FF with a purchase option on the Hanford facility.
Faraday Future has exercised the option to purchase our Hanford, California manufacturing facility and simultaneously completed a sale-leaseback. This transaction is expected to generate up to $12 million of non-dilutive capital that can be used toward the completion of plant improvements and infrastructure enhancements to facilitate FF 91 2.0 Futurist Alliance production ramp-up.
