Beyond Meat's Award-Winning Vegan Steak Debuts in the UK Beyond Meat, the renowned company behind innovative vegan products, is bringing its award-winning vegan steak to the UK market. Beyond Meat’s vegan steak strips made quite an impression at a prestigious food awards event in the UK. They're now available for chefs and restaurants to order. These plant-based steak strips are a nutritional powerhouse, with 21g of plant-based protein per serving. The best part? They're made from fava beans, cholesterol-free and low in saturated fat. This vegan steak initially made its debut in the US, where it received praise and certification from the American Heart Association. It's now available at over 14,000 locations in the United States. In the UK, Beyond Steak made its grand entrance at the Casual Dining Show - The definitive restaurant, pub and bar event in London and secured the Gold Award in the Casual Dining Innovation Challenge 2023, where judges were impressed by its sustainability and nutritional benefits. Steve P., UK & I Foodservice Manager at Beyond Meat, expressed his excitement: "We’re delighted to be introducing the delicious Beyond Steak to the UK. Beyond Steak has already convinced the expert innovation jury at the Casual Dining Show 2023, receiving the Gold Award for creating a product which delivers the taste and texture of sliced steak in a way that is better for you and the planet”. This introduction comes as Beyond Meat strengthens its presence in the UK through partnerships with notable establishments like JD Wetherspoons and Greene King’s Hungry Horse franchise. According to Parsons, this expansion aims to provide more choices for restaurants and allow everyone to enjoy what they love without making any sacrifices. Starting this month, chefs and restaurants in the UK can order this “sustainable game changer”. However, no confirmation has been revealed yet about its availability in supermarkets.
