Wonderful day yesterday at the WSL Strategic Retail Wellness Symposium. Heard from so many experts including Nielsen's own Jacqueline Flam Stokes and Sherry Frey. The symposium had a strong focus on: 🚺 Women's health - specifically sexual health, postpartum, and menopause. Ending stigma's around sexual health in women and how there is a huge opportunity for brands to focus in on the Menopause consumer. 👵 Health Aging - how brands often forget about the older consumer, even though 70% of wealth in the US is with consumers over 55. More marketing and advertisement strategies should include this age group. 💵 Gen Z is projected to be the largest generation ever, as well as the wealthiest. This generation wants to purchase products that emphasize authenticity, transparency, and are better for the environment. 🍦 Some interesting insights on the idea of the "Wellness Counter Movement - do consumers want more Twinkie's?" Did you know that 28% of food and beverage sales comes from products with 10 grams or more of added sugar? And 26% of food and beverages sales come from products with 300 mg of sodium or more?
