My mom raised two kids on her own, while fearlessly forging a career in tech back in the ‘80s. I'm astounded by her determination to earn a computer science degree in 1979, especially considering the difficulty of the male-dominated landscape she navigated. I’m a woman in tech now, decades later, and it’s still difficult! Throughout my childhood, she exuded positivity, never once letting obstacles dampen her drive. She embraced parenthood and her career with an indomitable will, and took such joy in each day. She was simply game– up for whatever was coming her way. That’s how she looked at life. And now as a mom and working professional myself, I find that I’m able to bravely face even my hardest days because I have this arsenal of memories of my mother. I saw how far her energy, hope, and optimism took her, and I’m committed to doing the same. So many of us view our moms as superstars and know we wouldn’t be where we are without their guidance; I am no exception. So in light of Mother’s Day yesterday, I’m celebrating my phenomenal mom. What a force!
She clearly deserves celebrating for all of the above, not to mention these outfits tho! Clearly doing it all in style 😆🔥
Love this 😍
Amazing! I gotta say, the 80's hair is on point too! 👩🔬
SO heartwarming. #THIS: "She was simply game– up for whatever was coming her way. That’s how she looked at life."
Great post. Pictures are almost too perfect (the computer, the outfits, the colors, and the hair), makes me suspect AI.
Truly an amazing role model
Your mom's journey is truly inspiring. How do you integrate her lessons into your daily life?
