King Manc Karl Pilkington once said "We've invented most of the stuff we need, and now we're just messing about"
So, when something comes along that is truly an innovative solution to a real-world problem, our ears prick up.
I came across this clothing brand Petit Pli last night, created by Ryan Mario Yasin. They've invented clothes that grow with children over a number of years. 🤯
Here's how they articulate the problem they solve:
"Childrenswear today fails to recognise the dynamic and rapidly changing bodies of Earth’s LittleHumans.
Inspired by his background in deployable satellite technology, Ryan created a garment that would grow with his nephew, reducing water and carbon footprints, and the need to keep buying new clothes."
What a genuinely awesome invention, tackling a real-world problem that doesn't just affect individual families financially, but tackles a worldwide problem of how the fashion industry is affecting the earth.
What problem are you solving with your innovation, and how are you articulating it?
If your solution statement isn't as clear as this one, I'd recommend using this as your north star ⭐️
