Unrelated to my day job - you will soon see my face in campaigns for 3 different beauty brands! Sulwhasoo (luxury Korean skincare brand), Ilia Beauty (clean beauty makeup brand found at Sephora) and Living Proof Hair (found at Sephora, Ulta & Salons). My side hustle keeps me busy but this weekend was exhausting! I had to create and film content for 3 different brand deals but I am incredibly proud of the results and feel so incredibly blessed that I am able to work with such prestigious brands even in my old age 😉 (44). #beautybrands #influencermarketing #socialmediamarketing

Building Nova 🚀 | 3 A.M. Series | Storyteller | MUNer | Learner | Let's talk Economics, Marketing, Politics & Random Thoughts
Subway isn't the only brand obsessed with K-dramas. K-beauty is obsessed with K-dramas. K-dramas have legit sparked some beauty trends. Both in Korea and internationally. ________________________________ - Hera The lead in the show Legend of The Blue Sea puts on a specific shade of lipstick. The way it was positioned – this lip colour went viral as soon as the episode dropped. People wanted to know the brand. People wanted to know the shade. The internet went on a hunt to find answers! Her “Mermaid Lips” became one of the top trending searches not just in South Korea, but also in China. Eventually, the actress revealed the shade and the brand she used: Hera In a fun “coincidence”, she was also the brand ambassador of Hera. _________________________________ - Kahi Cosmetics This brand pulled off genius integrations with K-dramas last year. This little pink stick was doing rounds in many different shows simultaneously. Everyone was confused. What is this? Is this an ad? Because unlike Subway, this brand was way more subtle. And this subtle product placement started a major trend of 2022: multi balms Kahi Cosmetics blew up – globally! • Doja Cat used Kahi in her video for Vegas • Lil Nas X used it in The Montero Show It became the trendiest trend. In less than a year, the number of searches for ‘Kahi’ went from 100K… to 12 MILLION! Pretty much all thanks to product placements. Wild, right? _______________________________ PS :- Have you ever tried any beauty Trends inspired by K-dramas? LinkedIn LinkedIn for Creators #cosmetics #hera #kahi #subway #marketing #kdrama

Executive Recruiter - Fragrance, Beauty, Fashion, Luxury, CPG, Lifestyle, Nutrition/Wellness, Home - DTC subscription, Retail & Ecommerce
If you ask me my top favorite industry to hire for - it has to be undoubtedly the 'Skincare/Beauty' space. Am I a skincare/beauty enthusiast myself? "No" Do I follow a 7-step skincare routine religiously? "Absolutely not" But what I absolutely admire in the beauty industry is it's resiliency compared to some other sectors during economic downturns. Here are some factors that contribute to it's resilience - 1/ Consumer Behavior: During times of economic uncertainty, consumers may continue to spend on affordable luxury items like cosmetics and skincare products as a way to treat themselves without making major financial commitments. 2/ Self-Care Trend: The beauty industry often benefits from the trend of self-care and wellness, which can remain important to consumers even during difficult economic times. 3/ Diverse Offerings: The beauty industry offers a wide range of products and services, from basic necessities to high-end luxury items. This diversity helps mitigate the impact of economic downturns. 4/ Innovation and Adaptation: The beauty industry is known for its constant innovation and ability to adapt to changing trends and consumer preferences, which contributes to its resilience. To summarize, the ability of beauty businesses to adapt, innovate, and diversify their offerings plays a significant role in determining their success during challenging economic times. So my fellow recruiters - Which is your fav industry to hire for and why?
