When Mary arrived at the doors of Valley Hope, she was hopeless and defeated. Gradually, Mary embraced treatment and hoped for a new way of life. She was determined to live a life in recovery and regain custody of her kids. Valley Hope helped Mary with her first month’s rent for sober living. Will you consider a donation to ensure funds are available to help Valley Hope patients for the remainder of the year? Click to donate: valleyhope.org/seedsofhope

Hey everyone! We've raised a big heap of funds so far, and thank you to everyone who has made it possible. But I'm hoping we can raise even more! ***For today only*** all donations to the run are being matched! Make your contributions go the extra mile (wink) and donate today. If you are not in a position to help monetarily today, I'd appreciate if you could share this post with others to help spread the word. No need to donate via my link, direct donations to Fred Hollows are also possible (but not sure if these are being matched). Why donate to Fred Hollows? To put it very briefly, could you do your job with a vision impairment or blindness? Could you support your family, or would they be supporting you? Blindness can take away everything from those affected, but you can help bring it back! Many instances of blindness are treatable. More info can be found on the Fred Hollows website. https://lnkd.in/gDjUFZre

2 days until #GivingTuesday! A regular donor to McDougall House had the following to say: "Every time I provide a donation to McDougall House, I know that I'm making an impact in our community. Each gift I give goes directly to providing assistance to a woman recovering from addiction." Make a difference in your community this #GivingTuesdayCA by donating to McDougall House - https://lnkd.in/gpwtjmUJ

What's better than one load of laundry... TWO of course! For the next 24 hours, every dollar raised through The Sudsy Challenge will be DOUBLED, up to a total of $30,000 by a very generous donor. You heard that right, that means a $24 donation will double to $48, but most importantly one load of laundry becomes two for our friends experiencing homelessness. Every donation to The Sudsy Challenge helps change the lives of people experiencing homelessness, providing access to free laundry, warm showers and most importantly a place for genuine conversation. Help us make double the impact through The Sudsy Challenge today: http://bit.ly/3Y1Ldri

Chief Operating Officer - National Child Protection Task Force | Chief Legal Officer - ClickSafe Intelligence | Founder - Eguzkilore Consulting, LLC
As a trial attorney, you learn to recite facts in a compelling manner. In doing so, you learn that truth is often stranger than fiction. So let me tell you a story... I left my decade-long career as a prosecutor to join The National Child Protection Task Force full-time in 2021. I had no apprehension. It was a leap of faith in a dedicated group of individuals who were focused on saving #justonemore child from exploitation. However, I had one regret: not being able to directly support my community the way I did as an ADA. I missed that direct impact I was able to give survivors and their families. Then I received an email earlier this year from an officer we trained in New York. That officer was thanking us. He told us about a young girl who went missing - presumably a runaway - in his jurisdiction. However, based on our training he knew something didn't add up. Utilizing techniques NCPTF taught him, they located the girl with a man twice her age who had groomed her via a video game platform. Between our training and their ceaseless work, they were able to recover the girl in 24 hours even though the defendant took her out of state. The defendant brought her to my home county in Pennsylvania. He's being prosecuted by my former office. NCPTF strives to serve all law enforcement and strengthen their ability to recover missing and exploited children. The more we are able to train officers, to assist them in their times of need, the wider the our impact. It's the butterfly effect in action. Therefore, I ask you to consider donating to us today, #givingtuesday, because there is a good chance you can help save a vulnerable child in your own backyard.
We believe that EVERY child deserves a childhood filled with safety and joy, free from harm and trauma. On this Giving Tuesday, please partner with us in this effort by making a quick donation at https://ncptf.org/donate. Thank you for your continued partnership. 💙 #NCPTF #JustOneMore #GivingTuesday #ChildhoodMatters

There are under 12 hours left of the Marie Curie 36 Hour Challenge ⏳. Please donate before 10pm tonight so we can raise as much money as possible for end of life care. The first £100,000 of donations will be doubled! Thank you so much 💛 https://lnkd.in/ej7HGM89 In the next 36 hours, over 400 people could die without the care and support they desperately need. With the current cost of living crisis, and winter approaching, conditions are only getting worse for people living with a terminal illness and the people that care about them. This needs to change, and soon. Everyone deserves the right care and support, so they can feel comfortable and secure, right up to the end. With your help, we can ensure more people get the best possible end of life care. How would £1 million make a difference for people at the end of life? · It could help fund 4,830 nights of expert Marie Curie nursing care. · It could help fund the heating in all nine Marie Curie Hospices for two and a half years. · It could help fund the Marie Curie Support Line for three and a half years.
Time is running out! 📣⏲️ You have just 12 hours left to double your donation! One in four people don't get the end of life care they need. This needs to change, and soon. Donate and help ensure everyone gets the end of life care and support: https://bit.ly/3TyeU2n The first £100,000 you help us raise during the 36 hours will be doubled by matched funders.

I’ve just got home from the board meeting of Widows and Widowers Ministering Angels. I’ve been appointed Chair of the Endowment Committee. Jennie Taylor is the Vice-Chair. If you would like to donate money to needy widows where just the interest on your donation is used annually, let me know. It doesn’t have to be a lot of money. At 5% a year, $5,000 can provide $250 per year each and every year going forward. $25,000 creates $1,250 per year. You can even commit to a yearly contribution until you get enough money endowed to help in the way you desire. Maybe it’s Christmas presents for kids or a trip for the family or rent or car repairs. But creating an endowment now means you can help someone every year in perpetuity. It’s as simple as messaging me on Linked-In to get the details. wwministeringangels.org
