The more I really learn to ACCEPT myself no matter what ('good' and 'bad', 'success' and 'failure', 'perfections' and 'flaws'), the more I learn to ACCEPT life too. This is the key to TRUST because the only thing that blocks trust is EGO (resistance and distortion) which is only ever a lack of ACCEPTANCE. Trust brings love and love brings trust because LOVE IS ACCEPTANCE. If you act like you do one (trust/love), the other (love/trust), or both (love and trust) then you'll get where you need to BE. Keep flowing. ---------------- Let's talk: olianderson.co.uk/talk #selfacceptance #selflove #radicalselfacceptance #loveyourself #authenticity #personalgrowth #trust #love #acceptance #egodeath #innercritic #resistance #distortion #flowstate #gowiththeflow #trusttheprocess #talkwitholi

Kindness isn’t weakness. Weakness isn’t kindness. Be strong enough to put in that extra effort to be kind, regardless of the situation - it does not make you weak, it displays your strength, confidence and integrity. But also do mot mistake acts of weakness for kindness. Conflict avoidance, failing to take up challenging conversations or flat-out lying to avoid hurting someone’s feelings… these are not kindness, these are weakness. Let’s respect those who display true strength and kindness. Let’s call it out and put it up for others to admire… who do you know who displays kindness from a place of strength?

What is a more important characteristic than kindness? Let’s delve into a thought-provoking discussion today on the significance of kindness and genuineness. We all have different experiences and values. If you were to prioritise one of these traits in your friendship, which one would you consider more indispensable? I would vote for genuineness, which includes honesty, truthfulness, and sincerity in life and relationships. Because sometimes kindness could be fake. Genuine people are reliable, don’t judge others, and they are generous and transparent. Genuine people are authentic and natural. They don’t try hard to make people to like them.

“We must not mistake kindness for weakness. Kindness isn’t weak. Kindness is a certain type of strength.” ~Jim Rohn ~ When we display kindness, it often comes from a place of compassion and strength, not a lack of it. Unfortunately, there’s a persistent misconception that equates these acts of generosity and concern for others with weakness. This misunderstanding may stem from a variety of societal and psychological factors, and it’s important to recognize why this view is not only erroneous but also harmful. Kindness is indeed a form of strength that requires resilience and a strong sense of self-worth to give of oneself without expecting anything in return. By continuing to be kind, even in the face of skepticism, you embody the real essence of strength, which often goes beyond mere physical or assertive powers. Have you ever felt the power of a simple gesture of kindness? A touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring can make a huge difference in someone's life. Leo Buscaglia, a famous author and motivational speaker, once said: "Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around." I think this quote is very relevant in today's world, where we are often busy, stressed, and disconnected from each other. We may forget how much our actions and words can affect others, positively or negatively, and may not realize how much we need and appreciate the kindness of others, especially in times of difficulty. That's why I want to challenge you to do something today: show some kindness to someone who needs it. It could be a friend, a family member, a colleague, a neighbor, or even a stranger. It doesn't have to be anything big or expensive. Just a small gesture that shows you care and you are there for them. You never know how much it could mean to them, and how much it could brighten their day. And don't forget to be kind to yourself, too. You deserve it. You are worthy of love and respect. You are amazing, just the way you are. Share this post if you agree, and tag someone who has shown you kindness recently. Let them know how much you appreciate them. #kindnessmatters #leobuscaglia #quotestoliveby #spreadlove #bekind #grateful #inspiration #motivation

Gentle Strength: The Power of Assertiveness in Kindness Think Kindness Is for Weak? Think Again! Kindness must not be confused with pleasing people or being a pushover. You can be kind and assertive. I have observed how kindness was exploited, abused, and sometimes appreciated in my various roles. You can be kind and assertive. Kindness is not a sign of weakness; it comes from empathy and understanding. Being assertive means standing up for oneself and others, setting boundaries, and expressing one’s needs and opinions confidently. By combining kindness with assertiveness, a powerful and balanced approach can be developed to handle different situations. Remember, true kindness is about showing compassion and respect, not about being taken advantage of. Stand firm in your beliefs while treating others with kindness and understanding. Always remember to stay true to yourself and let your kindness shape the world, starting with your immediate surroundings. #abiessonia #kindness #assertiveness #wellbeing #mentalhealth photo credit: Justin Wright

Professionalism and kindness are their own reward. It takes more work to demonstrate this in the face of unpleasantness, which makes it even more valuable. In addition to the personal reward of inner peace of maintaining one's own equilibrium, it can help others when they're having a harsher day or are not at their best. Kindness breeds kindness. professionalism breeds professionalism.

When people focus on hatred, rage, judgement and criticism, and often character assassination of others, they constrict, physically and intellectually, even spiritually. Everything becomes an all or nothing drama that is the end of the world. When we focus on gratitude and compassion, love has space to flourish, and we have access to much more wisdom, big picture stuff, and spirituality can be healthy, expansive. Be aware that we all have the capacity for both. No judgement here. This is part of being human. Explore when and how you gravitate down each of these paths to get to know yourself better.
