Enjoyed being a guest of Gravitas Detroit - Automotive Leaders podcast - where host Jan Griffiths and I explored what it takes to be an effective leader in the constantly evolving automotive / transportation / mobility space.
As most of you that have followed me for any time know, I have a few ideas about what Legacy Auto needs to do to try to catch up to Tesla, BYD & the rest of 🇨🇳 EV Inc. 😉
Doing things the same way, at the same speed is not going to get Legacy Auto competitive against their Silicon Vally and 🇨🇳 based EV startups. And this false narrative about being able to slow down will only ensure that Legacy Auto falls further behind their global competitors. Change needs to happen and happen yesterday!
Strong leadership that is able to make the tough decisions, smart investments while dialing up the appetite for risk are all needed in today's leaders, whether at the OEM or tier 1 level.
In my Sino Auto Insights weekly newsletter & China EVs & More, I only touch on what it takes to be an effective leader in the space but I am able to get into much more detail with Jan so I invite you all to have a listen.
Don't agree or want to add something, let me know in the comments.
