This is so interesting; using SynBio to prevent ice formation in low temperature environments!! Everything from satellite cameras to windshields stands to benefit from this kind of technology, and it's so great to see SynBio as the tool of choice for accomplishing this
Today we're pleased to share that Ginkgo has been awarded up to $6 million from DARPA to produce novel proteins to control ice in extreme cold weather environments. We're honored to be selected by Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) to work on this program to facilitate sustained cold weather operations. Biology offers us a myriad of ways to adapt to our environment, and synthetic biology allows us to tap into nature’s capabilities and apply them to our own needs. We look forward to the products that the ICE program generates, which may enable enhanced safety and proficiency across various use cases. Find out more here: https://hubs.la/Q02qY5Rq0

Deep Tech for Human Health & Performance ◆ Open Strategy-Execution ◆ Demand-Side Innovation ◆ Translational Research
#Dataharmonization is the spice for your journey in advanced #analytics, including but not limited to #AI. In product and service development, analysts must radically #defragment sources of information that are prima facie relevant to reduction of #uncertainty. Especially in unprecedented #ventures, reality does not respect #boundaries between subcultures of #expertise and #experience. Otherwise, arbitrarily mixing previously incommensurate data (perspectives on reality) can turn gold into garbage which, of course, just generates more garbage.
