Wow, what a day in LDN! Yesterday was packed with inspiration and exciting plans for 2024. 🚀 We kicked off with the fantastic Fight or Flight x LinkedIn event hosted by Chris Halpin, where an incredible panel, including Rob Mayhew (Business and Finance bCreator of the year), Tobi Demuren, and Kate Sarginson, shared their wisdom on B2B brand building. 🎤 Then, it was off to Fight or Flight HQ for a PR workshop. There were many valuable tips (and some best-in-class examples from Roland) to help B2B businesses thrive in our fast-paced world. 🌍 Here are my top three takeaways: 🧑✈️ 'Let’s run a pilot!' – This phrase is perfect for testing new ideas and getting buy-in for projects with potential big wins. 🎨 'Creativity still wins' – From Rob’s humorous approach to B2B content to Roland’s innovative ’50 Shades of Ginger’ campaign, and the clever tactic of updating employee role titles en masse on LinkedIn – creativity remains key on this platform! 🎓 'Entertain or Educate' – A great content mantra from Rob that should always be front of mind! Feeling energised and ready to implement these insights! 💪

What's the catch? 🎣 I've been asked this many times when doing demos. How do you actually make any money? And it's an understandable question. The amount of quality features we provide users at no charge at all is pretty rare. But a business is not about revenue, not even a tech company 😯. It's about being profitable and sustainable in the long run. This is something our accountant and bookkeeper users understand pretty well! Acquiring (and keeping) customers can be an expensive business in a competitive market. And the higher your cost of acquiring customers, the higher your prices need to be. Add in competitors and it becomes more expensive still. It can be a vicious circle. By having such an extensive free plan, excellent support and low per unit costs for electronic checks we have been able to reduce our cost of acquiring customers, have high conversion rates and hardly ever lose a customer. Our bootstrapped company is custom built to be able to operate in this way. If it wasn't for our reputation that we've been able to establish, people may think Xama a far inferior product when comparing pricing to our competitors. Those who have moved from other solutions will be first to tell you that in fact the opposite is true. More than 800 firms signed up to Xama in the last year alone (thank you 🙏!!) and the rate at which they are doing so is steadily increasing as happy customers keep spreading the word. We're meeting and surpassing all our targets and we do not see any reason to change our model. If we win in this way our customers will win too. We've recently launched our Premium subscription packages which add some amazing enhancements to our Free plan. However, the model remains the same for us. Provide a crazy ROI and our users will stay with us for a long long time. Importantly, never ever will anyone be pressured into a subscription.
