When COVID19 shut the world down, eCLOSE opened it up by making research possible at home. Hundreds of kids nationwide contributed to #research, working in homes, garages, even driveways to pursue their passion in #science. Thanks to incredible global efforts to prevent and treat COVID19 infection, we are now back in the #lab! An incredible #donation by Inolex created a nearly instant Teaching Lab in the new eCLOSE Institute space! Our first in-person program ran last week (see photo!), with students diving in for impacts of #diet on #cancer and other diseases. Next week, the American Cancer Society #SHEinOncology program will run virtually, with hundreds more #students from around the #USA collaborating to eradicate women's #cancer. This full circle moment highlights the power of #innovation, the impact of #resilience, and the #power of #kids to find new ways to #conquercancer.
