For this #TBT we went digging through the archives... Literally. 📚 In honour of the University of Regina's 50th anniversary, we wanted to highlight when the university changed from the Regina Campus to the University of Regina. As well as the first convocation that had our Engineering Bachelor’s degrees listed and our first degree recipients. How cool is that?! #uofrengineering

Everyone check out my State College description under Education. 🎓 Reflecting on an Unforgettable Academic Journey at Indian River State College (2013-2016) As I look back on my academic journey at Indian River State College, I’m filled with gratitude for the rigorous education and the challenging experiences that have shaped my engineering career. Degree Achieved: Associate of Arts (AA) Advanced Courses: Up to Differential Equations and Physics 2 with Calculus Memorable Academic Milestones: • Fall 2013: Conquered the most demanding class of my academic career, mastering extensive memorization and precision in note-taking, and achieving an A. • Spring 2014 to Summer 2016: Progressed through a demanding series of mathematics and physics courses, culminating in mastering Differential Equations and two levels of Physics with Calculus. Each course at IRSC was a building block in my educational foundation, challenging me to grow intellectually and personally. I am particularly proud of navigating the complex concepts in advanced calculus and physics, which were critical in earning my engineering degree. This journey was not just about academic growth but also about personal resilience and learning the value of hard work and dedication. #Engineering #Education #IRSC #Alumni #Graduation #AcademicExcellence

A good outcome: Higher is always better even if the methodology is ... 'interesting'. I have a couple of comments. 1. Our interim dean Frederik Anseel is (imo) by far the best of the business deans in Australia. Therefore, strong business rankings make sense. IMO, Sydney is the best city in Australia to be a finance academic. Within Sydney, UNSW is the best place to be. This is not a slight on other Austrlaian business deans or institutions in general (though there are a couple of deans that are truly awful and are archetypal agency conflicts). 2. The law rankings are weird. Columbia Law School is hands-down the best law school. It has the best corporate law group en masse [I grant that Lucian Bebchuk is at Harvard, though]. I strongly recommend anyone looking at a LLM to consider Columbia. I did not approach any of the universities ranked above Columbia and would not do so. 3. The Finance rankings have 'issues'. It's certainly better than the law ranking. The ranking within Australia strikes me as 'about right'.
"These achievements are a direct reflection of our unwavering commitment to academic excellence, transformative learning and industry relevance. A huge thank you to our faculty, researchers, staff, and students – your collective efforts make this success possible," says Professor Frederik Anseel, Interim Dean of UNSW Business School. UNSW Business School has been named among the world's top universities for four subjects in the 2024 QS Subject Rankings; three of those were ranked first in Australia.

R1 and R2 universities are schools in the United States classified as research universities in the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education. For the 2021 Carnegie Classifications, several variables are used to classify institutions: extramural research expenditures, number of doctoral degrees awarded in science and engineering, number of doctoral degrees awarded in other disciplines outside of science and engineering, per capita faculty research expenditures, number of research staff such as postdoctoral employees, research associates, research faculty and research assistants. You can read more about these two institutions online to find out where your dream university. #university #studyabroad #StudyintheUSA #usuniversities #dreamuniversity
