Showing our #CaringSpirit in our communities is central to who we are as a company. Here’s a rundown of what we’ve been up to lately: Once again, Unum Group partnered with Rebuilding Together Atlanta, and 15 volunteers from the Atlanta office helped a 30-year U.S. Army Veteran with landscaping, exterior painting projects, and more to help her age safely in her home. For more than twenty years, we’ve been a proud partner of Special Olympics Maine, thanks to financial support and dedicated volunteerism from our employees. Recently, our employees spent the weekend volunteering at the games. We rolled up our sleeves to serve as guest chefs at the Ronald McDonald House Charities in Portland, Maine and cooked a meal for the 20 residents. Employees from our finance team supported Lincoln Middle School in Portland with some spring clean-up projects. The team enjoyed a nice day doing mulch bed clean-up and perennial pruning. #TeamUnum in Michigan served lunch to clients of the Capuchin Soup Kitchen with a warm smile and caring spirit. Employees gathered in Beaver Creek, Colorado, and helped Access Unbound with crucial upgrades to The Community Gardens, making it an inviting place for people with disabilities and senior citizens to gather, share, garden, and relax. #UnumCares

Every Hotel Needs These Hangers! We travel for holiday or work and end up buying souvenirs, gifts for family members, or even items for self use. And sometimes, we end up with too many things to pack in our bags. The problem: excess baggage! WMcCann worked with The Salvation Army to turn this challenge into a donation opportunity. To enable people to donate their extra clothes that they may not need, WMcCann has given the traditional donation box a new-age makeover in a campaign gone live in São Paulo for the The Salvation Army. The Salvation Hanger initiative invites Sheraton Hotels & Resorts guests to hang excess clothing items on hangers as a donation to those who may need them the most. Beginning April, the initiative will place hangers with QR codes in the rooms of the participating hotels. On scanning, guests are taken to a site where they can read about the donation initiative and are invited to hang their excess clothes as a donation for the needy. Simple, effective and brilliant!! https://lnkd.in/dVb39GGT #dogood #sustainability #recycle #marketing #campaigns #CSR

Primary Initiatives - CJ3 Field Ops The CJ3 Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity organization serving our Nation’s Wounded Heroes – Wounded/Disabled U.S. Military Service Members, Veterans, Law Enforcement, Firefighters, and Emergency/First Responders. We do this through four primary Initiatives: (1) CJ3 Advocacy, (2) CJ3 Mental Health & Wellness, (3) CJ3 Service Dogs, and (4) CJ3 Field Ops. The CJ3 Foundation provides services, support, and advocacy to our Nation’s Wounded Heroes who need/require assistance and then connects them with resources and programs designed to meet their unique set of needs. The CJ3 Foundation assists them in finding both the means and opportunities to holistically improve their life outlook and reconnect with the communities they selflessly chose to serve. We would like to take the opportunity to highlight each of our CJ3 Initiatives in an effort to help you truly understand what we do here at the CJ3 Foundation. The fourth CJ3 Initiative we will describe is our CJ3 FIELD OPS INITIATIVE! CJ3 FIELD OPS. The CJ3 Foundation provides wounded/disabled American Heroes with fully hosted, professionally guided outdoor adventures, whether it be hunting, fishing, racing, or other outdoor activities. Our Recipients are given the opportunity to return to the great outdoors and reexperience hope, optimism, and motivation through outdoor activities that aid in physical, emotional, and spiritual healing, as well as providing social interaction that allows the Recipients to transition back into their daily lives. Through this Initiative, our Recipients find natural therapy from outdoor recreational activities and create memories and friendships that last a lifetime. Each of the CJ3 Foundation Initiatives are graphically depicted by hero silhouettes in front of a tattered American Flag. The CJ3 Field Ops Initiative logo is a silhouette of a soldier carrying a rifle at rest in front of an American flag. #cj3foundation #cj3fieldops #servingournationswoundedheroes

As I repost this newsletter spotlight aligned with Parks and Recreation Month, I should add commentary about Scouting's time-tested outdoor program and how it gives youth of all ages -- and their families -- a great framework for positive, character-building activities. As it happens, as I type this, I am also on the phone with my own Scout, who is navigating the steps required to submit her Eagle Scout Service Project proposal. Because of Scouting, she is learning personal accountability, time management, project management, team management ... and how to call a business number with an extension and navigate an automated menu. (LOL) A lot of "adulting" and executive function has been baked into the Scouts BSA program for a century, updating in small ways -- the PDF of her proposal can now be emailed to Council, for example -- while maintaining the essential core that has stood the test of time. If you have a young person in your life, check out the programs of the BSA. They are fun for kids, fun for families, and the lessons ensure that everyone is ... Prepared. For life. ⚜ https://BeAScout.org

Continuing the theme of gratitude during the month of November, Wolf Wallenstein, PC celebrates National Philanthropy Day today, November 15th, and the meaningful contributions of generosity in our communities. Conceived of by Douglas Freeman, a lawyer with a longtime focus on philanthropy, National Philanthropy Day was first officially recognized in 1986. The purpose of this day is to recognize the great contributions of philanthropy and provide an opportunity to reflect on the meaning of giving and all that it has made possible. Today we are proud to acknowledge the following remarkable organizations that we support throughout the year and give gratitude for the incredible work they are doing to make our communities stronger, more compassionate, and resilient. VOX Femina Los Angeles: Giving women voice through the performance of quality choral literature. Anti-Defamation League: Fighting all forms of antisemitism and bias, using innovation and partnerships to drive impact. Meals on Wheels America: Addressing senior hunger and isolation. Society For The Prevention Of Cruelty To Animals (spca): Advancing the safety and well-being of animals. Love On 4 Paws: Making a positive difference for those in need through animal assisted therapy. St. Lawrence Martyr Catholic Church: Extending a helping hand to those in need. Vida School: Nurturing students' social and emotional growth while striving for advanced academic achievement. At Wolf Wallenstein, PC, we believe in giving back. Philanthropy is more than a practice; it's part of our culture and reflects our core values that go beyond the courtroom. #NationalPhilanthropyDay #GivingBack #PhilanthropyInTheLaw

Dream Big: Think of a creative and engaging fundraising idea that will excite your unit and supporters! 2. Teamwork Makes the Dream Work: Collaborate with your unit committee to plan and organize your fundraiser. 3. Get the Green Light: Submit a Unit Fundraising Request Form to your Scouting professional for approval, ensuring all activities align with the Guide to Safe Scouting and BSA policies. Form here: https://lnkd.in/gcPcM9cy 4. Launch Your Fundraiser: Once approved, kick off your fundraiser with enthusiasm and watch your efforts turn into adventure funds! Please note: While we love community spirit, events like Spirit Nights that raise funds for external organizations may not align with our fundraising guidelines. For detailed guidelines on unit fundraisers, visit our website at https://lnkd.in/g5RNdh4c. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to your District Professional for assistance. Let's make this spring a season of growth and opportunity for our Scouts!

I did a thing. At Paddy & Scott's, we are constantly pushed to take risks at our leadership team meetings to step out of our comfort zones. So when the incredible Little Lifts team asked me to join their sponsored skydive for charity, despite my extreme fear of heights, I couldn’t say no. For months, I agonized over everything that could go wrong and questioned my decision. But yesterday, it all came together. I jumped out of a plane at 13,000 feet for a fantastic cause. I wasn’t alone—six fellow Little Lifts jumpers joined, and everyone nailed it. This experience taught me a lot. First, taking risks is crucial. Without risks, there’s no opportunity to overcome challenges. The biggest lesson? The power of SUPPORT and TEAMWORK. I arrived at the airfield, nerves in full swing, with my amazing family supporting me. To my surprise, Jonathan Reed and Zoe Hill, our company owners, were there too, cheering me on. Would I have signed up if it wasn’t for Little Lifts? NO. Would I have gone through with it without the amazing support from my family, friends, and colleagues? Maybe not, but their support made all the difference. One of the best experiences of my life. I encourage everyone to take a risk. It doesn’t have to be skydiving, but I highly recommend it 🪂 #TakeRisks #Teamwork #Support #Skydiving #LittleLifts #PaddyandScotts #Fuellingambition
