Looking at incorporating next gen real-time technology into your project? Adopting a realistic visual style for your game? Diving into the world of animation? Well, have we got the playlist for you 🎞️
Our Tech Talks playlist from this year's GDC has the insights you need: https://lnkd.in/eBf_u9u2
Today we dropped our Technical Showcase trailer that went over the improvements from our (painful) transition from UE4 to UE5.
If you’re curious to learn more and can stand my voice, give it a look!
And many thanks to IGN Entertainment for posting it on their channel. As a small independent developer, this sort of visibility and reach is worth its weight in gold.
Hands on, live playthrough and more await. And of course, our demo is playable at TGS.
Can’t wait to show you more!
PS: Our combat is from a much older build, such are the woes of in-development advertising. We’ve had (and are planning) lots of small tuning and feature improvements going forward.
PS2: Don’t worry, the excessive hit stop and shader compilation stutter are both gone now ;)
After a lot of technical difficulties my IT person still has work to do but at least I am able to get back to doing what I love, working on things like this. This is more a testing phase for me to get the camera shake the way I want but the next part should make it at least a bit more interesting.

I've got a new tutorial on YT that explores using pyro, particles and the new volume displacement to make some cool nebulae. We also cover a procedural lighting system you can use for them
*deep breath*
At long last, my first YouTube video focused on my experience making games is going up next week. You can get notified of the premiere, and of course, subscribe.
I recorded it like a month ago. I'm taking a "just get it out" approach here - I'm not happy with the audio, I'm not even happy with my camera presence and ability to naturally read a teleprompter. But I'm just going to build the muscle and put videos out, not doing multiple takes just to try and get things exactly how I want it (because if I did I'd never put anything out). Hopefully I can get a better audio setup in the next few months.

Working with cinemachine extensions was very useful. Here is what happened when I put the camera in a bounding box so it was trapped and unable to continue down it's track. :) There is a lot more extensions and things that can be done though.
