So good to see local partnerships that strengthen Tribal partnerships with Tribal partners and Leadership.
A portion of the Fort Building just north of City Hall in Fort Bragg is on its way to becoming a tribal learning center, in collaboration with the city and a coalition of local tribes.

Rocket Nation Recovery Part 12 - another interesting story from The Blade. What does Bowling Green State University's record enrollment of 3,550 students mean to UToledo? Is it true that UToledo's first year students direct from high school will be under 1,800? Is it true that total first year students will transfers, part-time and international students will be under 2,400? What impact did UToledo's leadership bold and creative decision to sustain an Interim Vice President of Enrollment over the past three years have on recruitment? What impact will the Interim VP's contract ending in December 2023 have on Fall 2024 enrollment? Is it already too late for Fall 2024? Will leadership hire another Interim VP Enrollment? If you were a Trustee would you expect leadership to hire a VP Enrollment that has history with and a love for UToledo and Toledo? Would you expect them to personally get to know high school guidance counselors across OH, MI, IN, PA, KY and WV? Would you expect them to have strong collaboration skills inside the institution and with UT alums? What other criteria would you use to screen and select the next VP Enrollment? If you were a Trustee would you want this to be a topic at the September 27th board meeting? Would you want the job description and expectations of the next VP Enrollment to be made public on the board of trustees website landing page? https://lnkd.in/gPpiNuqQ #RocketNation #toledo #utoledo #ToledoTough

"The way this partnership is designed, it's not for myFootpath to do it forever and ever for NAU. It's to teach us along the way, through this partnership, to build the capacity in house." Curious about the work we do and how it could be applied to your own college or university? Watch the full video here to learn about our myFootpath/NAU partnership in action with Vice President of Enrollment Management, Anika Olsen at Northern Arizona University. https://lnkd.in/gejKKsXM

The Australian Neurodivergent Parents Association defends and equips neurodivergent parents in Australia. We advocate for the rights of all neurodivergent parents in line with international human rights instruments.
Does anyone else get sick of seeing the NSW Government talk about helping people in need in the context of Education while they're currently in the process of further entrenching segregation in the Waratah State? This year, over 200 new support units were announced in NSW, and this was announced as some kind of 'win'. But these are not new classrooms. They're not new demountables. They didn't announce new resources. 200 new support units means that NSW is going to take Disabled students who are already in mainstream classes and move them into segregated settings. This is not a win. This is a step back toward the dark ages. It is, almost certainly, a decision that would have arisen from liaison with the NSW Teacher's Federation, whose policy position on Disability is - and has long been - that Disabled students are best kept in 'special' schools and separate classes. There are deep roots here that go all the way back to Purvis v NSW and beyond. While on one level, we understand at The ANPA that resource scarcity is a strong driver of hostile and fearful attitudes toward Disabled students among burnt-out, under-resourced teachers working in public schools sucked dry of funding by private schools (enjoy those gymnasiums and swimming pools on the public docket, St. Richies) - We also just kind of don't get it. See, we're all union thugs, too, from way back. And we know that shared struggle is the best struggle. Working together, we get more done, and the star of the Disability rights movement has risen. It is not going to descend any time soon. If I were a strategic unionist right now in Education, I'd see Disability rights activists as an opportunity, not my enemy: Because what do we Disability justice bandits screech for more of in education? Funding. Lots of it. Now. And the single biggest kick up the arse the DOE has had in some time has been the Disability Royal Commission which specifically suggested increased funding. Massively increased funding. Our kids are probably the reason that public education will *eventually* be adequately funded. They will also probably be the reason that conditions will improve and ratios will drop. You need a lot more money and staff to run an inclusive school. That is why we keep yelling FUND PUBLIC EDUCATION. Ain't nothing like a common goal, is there? Food for thought, eh. #UnionThugs #ThereIsPowerInAUnion #InclusiveEducation #SegregationIsNotTheAnswer #FundingForInclusion #NoNewSupportUnits #NSWEducation #NSWSchools #DisabilityJustice
