Happy Nurses Week to the Healthcare Heroes! 🩺 This week, we celebrate the incredible nurses who dedicate themselves to the well-being of others. Their tireless efforts, compassion, and expertise make a profound difference in the lives of countless patients and families. As a financial advisor, I understand the unique challenges nurses face when it comes to financial planning. Long shifts, demanding schedules, and the emotional weight of the job can make it difficult to prioritize financial goals. This Nurses Week, I want to extend my sincere appreciation to all the nurses who go above and beyond every day. Your dedication is truly inspiring! Here's how I can help: • Financial planning tailored to your unique needs: I can help you create a personalized plan that considers your income, expenses, retirement goals, and potential student loan debt. • Building long-term financial security: We can discuss strategies for saving for retirement, managing debt, and preserving your assets. • Time-saving solutions: I can provide guidance and resources to help you navigate financial decisions efficiently, even with a busy schedule. Let's take this opportunity to show our gratitude to the nurses who make a difference every single day. #NursesWeek #ThankANurse #HealthcareHeroes #FinancialPlanningForNurses By acknowledging the unique needs of nurses, I hope to contribute to their well-being and financial security.

Helping teachers inspire their students to consider a career in the NHS! It's not all about doctors and nurses!
Are your students missing the obvious?... a tale from Sainsbury's. My lad, George, is 6. He's a lovely little chap... I say little, he's taller than everyone in year 1 and pretty much year 2. Takes after his Dad there. But, I was reminded how much we take our own knowledge and experiences for granted and sometimes think everyone else knows what we know. This all came about when we took him into a local paper shop for the first time the other day. I don't know about you, but when I was younger (30+ years ago) we always popped to the 'paper shop' to buy some sweets. You'd walk in and be presented with shelf upon shelf of amazing sweets to choose from. My personal choice would be Nerds or Jelly Tots. However, in today's world, we don't do that any more. Of course George has been in shops and supermarkets, but never a good ol' fashioned paper shop. When he saw the choice of sweets available, his eyes nearly popped out of his head like gob-stoppers on stalks! It took a good 5 minutes for him to decide on his treat, examining every item on every shelf. His choice in the end... a packet of fruit pastels. Why tell you this? Well, what do you know that you think your students know, but in actual fact they don't? Do they know how many careers there are in the NHS? Do they know 5 GCSEs at levels 9-4 is the perfect starting point for the majority of careers in the NHS? Have a think about the basics of your subject and double check your students know them. It's also relevant for me too. Having promoted NHS careers to schools for nearly 15 years now, there is lots that I know and assume teachers know. But this probably isn't the case. So, I'll be doubling down on telling you all there is to know about careers in the NHS... even the very basics. Until next time Tom PS: Visiting the paper shop is now the most requested after school activity in our house! lol
