Folks Maui is absolutely the best vacation spot I have been to and it breaks my heart to see the devastation caused by the recent wildfires. Please help contribute what you can for a just cause organized by my daughter, Esha. ——— The Maui Wildfires have devastated thousands of families living there. Almost 100 innocent civilians have died, homes have been burned down, and the city of Lahaina is left in ruins. Many Hawaiian citizens are left without a place to live, clean air and water, and food. The Maui Wildfires are said to be the most deadly wildfire in the US in over 100 years. The Hawaii Community Foundation (HCF) is an organization focused on improving Hawaiian communities. In light of the wildfires, HCF has created Maui Strong, a fund used to distribute resources to those in need. 100% of the funds donated through True Karma will go towards HCF. Join TrueKarma.org in helping those affected by the Maui Wildfires. Your donation will qualify for applicable tax deductions when you donate through this 501c3 not-for-profit portal. Your contributions will not only raise funds to buy essential resources in this hard time, but they will also help HCF rapidly distribute these necessities, helping the thousands of families affected. Please do your part in helping this community in need, donate below. Your contributions through TrueKarma.org also qualify for any matching employer donations (please check if your employer matches your donations on your employer's portal). https://lnkd.in/gk7PTZkT

MATCHING DONATION CAMPAIGN FOR HEAT RELIEF ‼️ It is a critical time to address the impact of high heat on individuals, families and communities across the state, particularly for those struggling financially to address and adapt to the record-breaking temperatures. Wildfire is here to help. Governor Hobbs' order also directed state agencies to develop a comprehensive heat plan by March 2024 and advocate for more federal Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) funding. As a community action agency that connects low-income households with resources, Wildfire will do everything we can to support Governor Hobbs bringing more LIHEAP money into the state. "The program was initially designed to help cold-weather communities keep residents heated in the winter, but it has evolved to become an important resource for air conditioning assistance in hot summers, said Wildfire Executive Director, Kelly McGowan. Wildfire will match community donations up to $500,000 in donations to repair and replace HVAC units for qualifying low-income individuals at no cost to them -- bringing the total raise to $1,000,000. The more we are able to raise in donations, the greater the impact we can make. Dear network, Amidst the difficult news that has been impacting Rio Grande do Sul in recent days, I would like to share something of extreme importance and urgency with you all. Floods have devastated entire communities, leaving families without homes, belongings, and, in many cases, without hope. It is in times like these that our solidarity and empathy become crucial. Therefore, I'm here to share the link to a fundraiser that has been initiated to help these families rebuild their lives. Every contribution, no matter how small it may seem, makes a significant difference. Let's come together, let's extend our hands and our hearts to those who need it most. Together, we can bring a ray of hope to these affected communities. The link to the fundraiser is here https://lnkd.in/eWYDT_cA. In this challenging time, let us maintain strength and faith. With love, solidarity, and action, we can overcome any adversity. I count on you all. Warm regards, Fernando Amidst the floods that have inundated Rio Grande do Sul, we raise this channel of hope. A historic flood has left a trail of destruction, carrying away not only homes and belongings but also dreams and aspirations. Now, more than ever, these families need our support, which is why we are opening this donation channel. Every penny raised will be carefully channeled in the form of direct donations of furniture and appliances to the families of São Leopoldo, one of the hardest-hit by this tragedy. https://gofund.me/a35514a7

For my fellow SDRs, AEs, and CSMs: If you have accounts located in SW or Central Florida and you're scheduled to reach out to them in the next few days please let it be compassionate, empathetic, and supportive (not sales-y). I can assure you that a "cost-effective alternative to Brand X" is the last thing on someone's mind in the middle of a Category 3 Hurricane. If you are going to reach out, ask if there's anything you or your company can do, once the storm has settled. There are charities and organizations that invest donations back into the community to help repair or replace any damages that may be incurred. Pray for the best but prepare for the worst. Furthermore: If you do decide to donate - do it without motive! I've included some links in the comments section to get you started. #HurricaneIdalia
