Shooting less content = Better Storytelling? This may seem crazy but as I’ve grown in visual storytelling one of the key things I’ve recently been doing is shooting less content. When I was first starting out I was always worried about missing something and would constantly be shooting. This led to editing being a nightmare. Now that I have more experience I understand the general flow of events and can be more focused on the quality of shots and how they contribute to the story instead of just shooting out of fear of missing something. It may sound counterintuitive but as I’ve been shooting less the quality of my work has gone up and I am far more efficient. #Video #Story #VisualStorytelling #Event #EventPlanning #VideoEditing
Recently, we had the privilege of sponsoring a community breakfast with Sunrock at the Durham Rescue Mission as a followup event to our golf tournament. 🏌️♂️ 🍳 It was great to connect business partners, golfers, and friends to such a great cause. WellChild Project Number 10 sponsored by Speedy. Birmingham, on 12th & 13th March 2024: The harder the effort, the greater the reward! It rained and rained on day 1 and the ground became a mud bath which slowed us down considerably. The volunteers, all made up of senior management from Speedy, worked tirelessly and without complaint on both days to get this project finished for Lewis and his family. Lewis is 7 and has several conditions including Cerebral Palsy and Global Developmental Delay and, as you can see from the 'before' photos, the family couldn't even use their garden before Speedy transformed the lower half, giving Lewis and his sisters a safe, flat and soft area to play and have fun in! Without the financial support & volunteers from companies like Speedy then I don't think we could deliver this programme to the children and families who desperately need help! THANK YOU! Please, please, please share this post as children like Lewis all across the UK desperately need access to outdoor areas at their homes which currently they can't get to. We'd love to have the chance to pitch to any companies out there that want amazing team building days combined with community projects! Please get in touch! #corporatesocialresponsibility #community #charitysupport #volunteering #teambuilding #teamdevelopment We are also looking for companies nationwide that can help us with the supply of artificial grass, timber and other building materials, screws and fixings, PPE, tools, sensory items, outdoor solar lighting, skips and site toilets, diesel costs, and hotel and subsistence costs... Please get in touch... Even if we can get a 10% discount on some of this, you'd be surprised how much of a difference your help will make! #sponsorship #fundingopportunities Thanks for reading😁

Did You Know about Seattle Public Schools (SPS) Funding Model? ❗ SPS doesn’t fully fund each individual school, it has a Tier method of funding. ❗ The weighted funding model is based on Tier assignment which ensures low-income communities receive more funding, relies on PTAs to fill in known gaps in school budgets. ❗ A weighted funding model means that as your number goes up the community comes around the school to provide critical funding to bridge that gap for that school. PTA organizations have stepped in to fill this gap. Funds are raised on a YEARLY basis. If the funding is not met that year then the school will lose it the following year. There is not a cushion to carry us year to year. We had the the opportunity to create a quality video while helping raise crucial funds for a local public school. Check out the video here (and don't forget to support your local PTA!): https://lnkd.in/gMgSSTcz If you are part of a group trying to do something good, reach out to our team.
