With our investor/capital markets activities for Q3 now in the rear-view mirror, we’re preparing for the next tranche of quarterly reporting (Oct 26th), our window to talk more about what Aker Carbon Capture has been up to recently (like our US study work announced today) - the cycle continues. And what a month it’s been - despite somewhat troubled waters (😱) in the financial world, we’ve really enjoyed all the engaging investor meetings, panel discussions, presentations and coffee chats. Being one of the very few pure play listed names in the #carboncapture space is definitely a privilege (as is starting with ‘A’ when any lists are involved 😇). We’ve met (and made new friends) from across the energy sector, energy transition & impact funds, small & midcap specialists, ESG funds and many more….. and we ended September with two very strong events in a surprisingly sunny 🌤 London - the Redburn Atlantic and Rothschild & Co Renewables & Clean Energy conference, and AB Bernstein’s 20th Strategic Decisions Conference. Big thanks to all the organisers for putting on a great show and also to the excellent talkshow hosts - Stuart Joyner from Redburn and Oswald Clint from Bernstein - and the chance for Aker Carbon Capture to be on stage next to such an exciting list of peers and partners….. Birk Teuchert, CFA, Henrietta Moon, Jacob Nørgaard Andersen, Aniruddha Sharma, Bernhard Koudelka and Torbjørg Heskestad. We’ll keep the investor feedback short this time, but no surprises as to what the overriding theme is…. ‘caution’ (at least short term): ⬆ - higher for longer: interest rates are still going up, affecting project economics, discount rates, company valuations... ⬇ - lower for longer: many parts of the energy transition (wind, etc) seem unable to make money….can #ccus break this trend? Can we? 🔥 - friendly fire: global clean energy stocks are down (on ave.) 30-40% YTD…..a tough environment 😬 🎯 - front & centre: is #ccus in a better or worse place now in the energy transition? Signs are it could actually be better 👍 - here & now: having delivered full-scale projects in real life is likely an increasing advantage (🤓…we’re delivering 7 facilities in Europe - now) We look forward to updating everyone on our progress on October 26th - until then 😎 #ccus #ccu #ccs #energytransition #decarbonization

Energy transition is happening amd it will shape infrastructure investment strategy.
How can regulatory improvements create investment opportunities in Europe’s energy transition? DWS’ Head of Infrastructure Hamish Mackenzie explains the challenge is to finance Europe’s transformation while finding value and the attractive return profiles that epitomize the asset class. Europe’s transformation can’t occur unless the infrastructure that underpins the economy and wider society is at the heart of that change.
