Today, I want to take a moment to reminisce about a memorable internal comms experience I encountered while consulting for one of the companies in the past! During that time, the dynamic tech startup faced the challenge of remote work during a pandemic. Nurturing a strong sense of belonging became a top priority. I remember how we implemented an innovative internal comms strategy that truly stood out! Through thoughtful initiatives like interactive town hall meetings, fun weekly challenges, and employee spotlights, the team fostered a positive and engaging work environment. The atmosphere was brimming with excitement and camaraderie, even from afar. It was heartwarming to witness how these initiatives boosted employee morale and inspired a sense of unity among the team. The strategies used during that experience taught me the value of strategic internal communications and its impact on employee engagement. It also reinforced the importance of being proactive and creative in fostering a thriving company culture. As we continue to explore new ways to enhance internal comms in our current roles, let's cherish the lessons learned from the past and strive to create even more memorable experiences for our teams! 🤩 Meet our new head of people, Adrian Brandish. We may call him new, but Adrian has been our recruitment manager for some time now. We always strive to provide growth opportunities for our employees and Adrian was the perfect match for this role. His appointment as the head of people was met with great enthusiasm, as indicated by the heart reactions during the recent company huddle on Friday. ❤ As a growing company, our needs change and evolve. As a people-first organisation, we recognised the need for someone to unite our recruitment, HR, internal communications, executive support and events and experience teams. Adrian will be leading those areas into our exciting future and driving our people strategy. Adrian said, “This is an exciting new chapter for Inform, until a year ago we didn’t have a dedicated recruitment function and since bringing this in we’ve grown quickly with an ever-evolving internal structure, new clients and a need to maintain the unique Inform approach that people come to us for. Maintaining that people-centric approach as a company expands can be a challenge but I look forward to driving our strategy and working with our talented colleagues to continue to refine and improve our ways of working, to ensure we remain an employer of choice and to ensure Inform remains a place where our colleagues are valued, supported and nurtured.
